Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's a decent camera, probably 4 stars, but at this price there's no reason to get this over the new Mark II version which has +Better Menu +USB-C +touch screen controls +Wider lens 18mm vs 24mm which makes a big difference +Tripod socket hole is moved so it's not in the way of the battery door. With the Mark I you get.... -70mm zoom vs 50mm on Mark II which isn't really that big of a difference. Since it's 20MP you can always punch in. It's much less of a difference than 18 vs 24mm. -slightly better video stabilization. -tripod hole too close to battery door. The upgrades on the Mark II may sound like small updates, but it will make your life so much easier. I took the Mark 1 on a vacation and a newer Sony camera with all of these upgrades, and the Mark 1 was annoying to use. If you pick up any of these, I would consider getting a handle grip. The ergonomics of either the Mark I or Mark II aren't good since the camera is tiny. You won't be able to pocket it anymore but feels better.

SO MANY PROBLEMS!!

I bought this during Christmas and after two weeks, I had an issue with recording. The camera would stop recording and say the SD card was full even though there were no files on the card. Best Buy couldn’t figure out the issue so I returned it and got a new one. This one also had problems. I just sent out the new one to repair after 2.5 weeks of use. it randomly turns on and that jammed the lens. Now, the lens won’t come out fully and as a result is out of focus and tells me to turn it off and on. I would’ve returned it but the return window is over :(
