Had the Canon G7X Mark 2. This exact Sony wins in every single category hands down. No battery life on any camera is really great so buy extra batteries, but the quality of photos and videos plus ease of use is fabulous!

For the price the camera is great quality even without additional lenses the videos come out great and the audio is clear, along with that it is super easy to use and works amazing for any type of photography and film making

The camera was very good but had a fatal flaw: the 24mm wife angle felt more like 27mm. This meant the camera image was just not wide enough to be held at arms length. I've returned the camera and will try the ZV-10 with changeable lenses. However, I will not buy from Best Buy. I have been an Elite Rewards member for years but the program was killed days before my purchase. A late night 2am email "change in terms" was the only notification. Poor service here for a decade long customer and when I returned the camera after 18 days I was shocked to be told that I could not return the camera. A manager took pity and gave a one time exception. I'll be buying from B&H or Amazon in the future.

Yes, I changed the temp control setting to “high”. I’m in an air conditioned room… still - 20 mins and it will shut down mid take and I have to let it cool for an hour to be cool enough to do that again. I want to love this camera - the quality is great and it’s small and versatile and just really great (and I’m a visual snob)… but if I can’t get it to work for even one hour of shooting - then what does all that matter?! I just need it to do it’s ONE JOB! I even bought it twice thinking that the first time the issue was that my item was an open box item - but even the newer, more expensive new version does the same. I now bought like $200 worth of additional accessories to try to avoid the issue. Which also makes this camera no longer portable, but reliant on an outlet at least and possibly an outlet and computer connection (apparently fast SD cards also get hot). So get ready for all that. I feel like $1000 puts me in a whole other bracket of camera choices that I wasn’t previously even considering. Try it for yourself and pay attention to your “return by” date.

I just got this so I can’t speak to all its features but that’s part of the beauty of this camera...out of the box it will have you shooting gorgeous photos and insanely clear video. I was quick to add an extra battery as the one in here is small and most reviews will tell you it won’t last too long if you’re shooting video. I opted with the extra being Sony but there are generics out there. I also added a Smallrig, an Atomos 5” monitor, a Samsung T5, and later I'll add some wireless lapel mics. Like i said out of the box this thing rocks but the customization opportunities are almost endless too. Buy it, it punches well above its weight and will outperform your expectations.

I’ve had this camera for about a month now and wow. I just love it. I own several Sony Cameras for my filmmaking (a6000, a6300 & a6400) and wondered whether I should even bother with the ZV-1. I’ve got to say, I’m glad I did. The ZV-1 is SO compact, easy to slide into the front pocket of my bag WITH the handgrip on and overall, that makes it easier to use. Less set up. Less to put it away. When you flip the screen open, the camera comes on instantly. You can be ready to shoot in a matter of seconds. I can’t do that with any of my other cameras. When I’m out and about and want to film something on the fly, THIS is the camera i reach for now. There’s a lot of GREAT features packed into this tiny camera! I’m very happy with my purchase!

Great camera for on the go! Fits in small bags & is super lightweight while still maintaining good quality!

Love it! Has great video/picture quality and is super light weight so it’s perfect for traveling and vlogging. Only downside is the battery life runs out pretty quickly while filming.

This camera did exactly what I wanted it to do. It was small and easy to carry on my trip. The camera took clear and focused pictures with an easy download to laptop.

great camera but i had problems whit taking photos like few photos got stuck saving and then deleted. vas very disappointed. so for photos i wouldn't recommend also very bad in night light but quick auto focus is amazing i switched from canon m50 but after having photos problem i switched back to canon i guest you get wht you pay for but wish they just combined the 2 and nake good video and photo camera

I took this camera on a few trips and ive got to say well worth the money. My friends continue to compliment the quality, even my guy friends if you can believe that! The video quality ive been told is like the kind of quality you see in films, movies, youtube vlogs done by professionals. 10/10 im constantly bragging about it!! Battery could be better, but its worth the hassle ;)
