This is a very good camera, but it does have one shortcoming that I did not see mentioned in any pro review. If you plan to buy this for content creation and you plan to use this to shoot video in 4K resolution, be aware that due to the FAT32 file type used in the camera that video files are limited to 2GB in size. The camera will continue filming, but will do so in another file. If you are filming in 4K you will reach 2GB in roughly 4-5 minutes. Also, this camera will shut itself down due to heat when filming, which I have experienced while filming in 4K resolution. This camera is decent, just not great.

Bought for my fiancé and she loved the simplicity of it. Needed a point and shoot for our trips that also took high quality video.

Great Camera for beginners, this definitly isn't the camera to be cheap on accessories. The tri-pod that work the best is GP-VPT2BT. Battery life is around 45 min so a couple extra batterys (NP-BX1) will help with productivity. Double check & make sure the Model number matches the battery. I made the mistake of not paying attention and ordered a battery charger for NP-FW50. The most imortant thing to do is watch this youtubers camera settings guide. Great first camera use all the time for vlogging use for content all across social media

Great quality videos and really easy to use. It is also super easy to upload pictures to your phone.

This camera did exactly what I wanted it to do. It was small and easy to carry on my trip. The camera took clear and focused pictures with an easy download to laptop.

The quality is top notch, auto focus is better than most. At first bought the mark 3 but that was disappointing, the auto focus would not stay set snd kept trying to focus. With the Sony it auto focuses on the first try and stays there. Very happy with this product.

Great compact camera, if you’re looking to get started in photography and video, but don’t want to change out lenses.

The Sony ZV-1 is a great camera for vlog style videos or sit down videos like product reviews but not much else. For me, I was looking for a camera that could do it a little bit of everything. I was hoping that it could be a camera that is for vlogging PLUS a little extra. Turns out, it's for that and only that. I found that the lens angle was also not that wide so if you're vlogging and you want to get some background scenery, you might have to purchase a selfie stick to get more in the shot. The camera did have in body stabilization which is great for when you're walking and filming but it also crops in it so the frame of the video is even smaller. It's great for beginner vloggers, sit down videos, or and perfect for a second easy/quick pull out camera. If you're looking for more than that, you might want to look elsewhere.

Wow! Highly portable, light and easy to use. I will start with video quality because that was my reason for purchase. If you need a long video time (more than 20 minutes) or really good quality video this is the camera for that. I can take still frame photos out of the video. Record time is limited to battery life and sd card size. We also purchased a Sandisk Extreme PRO 128GB sd card and a Anker battery pack to extend battery life (BOTH of which I would recommend purchasing as well as the camera). We get a good 5+ hours record time with this set up. I will say that photo quality is not as good as video. However, if the video is what you are in need of this is a great investment.

Its great for vlogging! But the life battery expect to use it not more than 40mins

The camera was very good but had a fatal flaw: the 24mm wife angle felt more like 27mm. This meant the camera image was just not wide enough to be held at arms length. I've returned the camera and will try the ZV-10 with changeable lenses. However, I will not buy from Best Buy. I have been an Elite Rewards member for years but the program was killed days before my purchase. A late night 2am email "change in terms" was the only notification. Poor service here for a decade long customer and when I returned the camera after 18 days I was shocked to be told that I could not return the camera. A manager took pity and gave a one time exception. I'll be buying from B&H or Amazon in the future.

I love this camera so much ! Bought it for content and couldn’t be more satisfied. The clarity is unmatched 10/10 highly recommend looking for a camera that is affordable

We gifted this to my husband last Christmas… he kept telling me his truck was a magnet to all the non drivers that pull out in front of him daily and some of the stories I just didn’t believe. Well he was right, I started watching the playbacks from his camera and it is crazy how many people cannot drive!!! All the videos are clear and prove which driver would be in the wrong if ever needed. This camera clearly removes any burden of proof from an accident.

The camera performs well for it’s size and convenience. It performs moderately/poorly in low lighting conditions. I think if Sony wanted to make a true vlogger camera, they would scale back the 24mm back to at least 18mm so it’s easier in selfie mode to capture the vlogger/scenery/co-host. The quality otherwise is acceptable for vlogging purposes but I would say that with just a little bit more cost and size/weight of the camera, there are far superior options out there that will make stunning movie quality videos. The ZV1 doesn’t translate well to big flat screens/4K resolution TVs whereas bigger models such as the a7 models will produce beautiful and sharp/smooth videos.

This camera is full-featured and ready to use out of the box. Audio is captured well from the onboard mic. Picture quality is stellar especially at 4K. Its trade-off however is the narrow camera lens. There's a reason why so many people by add-on lens expander to be able to capture more. I haven't found the need for this but I can understand why some would. All in all it's a great camera and the Bluetooth handle works well as well. With that said, I still default back to my cell phone on many occasions.

This camera is very easy to use and works well for what I need it for. We recently upgraded our technical equipment at church. We wanted to be able to record the service in our sanctuary and show live in our fellowship hall. Through the Best Buy techs, we were able to figure out how to do this; but needed a video camera that did video and audio transmittal. I am extremely "non-technical" but this camera and the connections make the task easy. I have not used this for regular photography, but look forward to experiencing that side of it as well. From looking over the camera's capabilities, I think I will be learning something new for years to come.
