Me personally I don’t just use it for vloging only. I use it as a main Camera for my YouTube. It’s been treating me good.

It OVERHEATS after 20 mins of shooting In 4K

I’m in an air conditioned room… still - 20 mins and it will shut down mid take and I have to let it cool for an hour to be cool enough to do that again. I want to love this camera - the quality is great and it’s small and versatile and just really great (and I’m a visual snob)… but if I can’t get it to work for even one hour of shooting - then what does all that matter?! I just need it to do it’s ONE JOB! I even bought it twice thinking that the first time the issue was that my item was an open box item - but even the newer, more expensive new version does the same. I now bought like $200 worth of additional accessories to try to avoid the issue. Which also makes this camera no longer portable, but reliant on an outlet at least and possibly an outlet and computer connection (apparently fast SD cards also get hot). So get ready for all that. I feel like $1000 puts me in a whole other bracket of camera choices that I wasn’t previously even considering. Try it for yourself and pay attention to your “return by” date.

High-quality movie recording and high-speed continuous shooting require large amounts of power. Therefore, if you continue to shoot, the temperature inside the camera will rise, especially that of the image sensor. In such cases, the camera will turn off automatically because the surface of the camera is heated to a high temperature or the high temperature affects the quality of the images or the internal mechanism of the camera. This was recommended to me for a start of a YouTube channel and I absolutely love it! Even if it’s not for “vlogging” it’s amazing for photos or regular videos.

No flash

Versatile camera, but the price could be lower

However, as it is basically a video-centric RX100 V, the MSRP should be marked a bit lower than it is now. The mode button is fine, but not as easy to use as the traditional mode selector.

Slightly better than iphone 12 vlogging

Works for what it is, and is a slight step up from iphone 12 vlogging. Not cheap though

The only issue I have is that I have the vlogging handle and in order to switch the memory card or battery that has to be removed to access that area.

Disappointing

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s a great camera but I didn’t pay attention that it does not have flash when i bought it and i thought it was obviou that a camera with this price would have it, so the pictures at night are not the best. Also I hate the app to transfer the picture, it takes literally 10 minutes to send a 15 second video to my smartphone. Would have never guessed that something like this would happen buying a new camera in 2023

Go to YouTube for settings instructions. 4k picture quality is nice. Its a go for me.

New favorite camera
