I primarily used it for Gaming as a webcam but then wanted to use it outside and I've noticed I purchased a damaged device. Kept shutting off and writing data to memory card wasn't working. I did buy used from BESTBUY and didn't check every part of the camera because the use was for a webcam. But the Camera its self is Top Notch.

Purchase! Essential for educators / bloggers!

Making videos is seamless, they save directly to mp4 so easily uploadable to any platform. Small and lightweight. Used it to make a lot of lectures that required a side by side of my face / profile and keynote/powerpoint. Makes editing simple. If you are using it as a primary audio source, I would definitely buy an external mic. I bought the Rode small one, which really improved the sound quality over this camera's inbuilt mic.

Great quality, beginner friendly

I had no problem figuring out how to use it. Only drawback is it does not have a flash, I ordered an external one.

It does not disappoint. I've owned other Sony's in the past and besides the work I just described I can also easily take this on a vacation and have a great camera for both stills and video (I love my iPhone for convenience but it cannot take images like this can).

Best camera for vlogging !!!

The focus is amazing, the videos are clear and the sound is great. I would recommend buying a plug-in microphone if you want a louder sound. This camera is great for beginner content creators and vloggers.

I wish it was cheaper but I also own a Canon G7X mkii. The main advantage is the mic jack but I also feel the overall video quality is a bit better on this Sony. The build seems better on the canon but I’d still take the a Sony. I actually prefer the screen on top like canons but it has to be to the side on the Sony because of the mic input. I was never a fan of point and shoots costing more than a few hundred dollars but if your in the market for vlogging id say it’s a go. Not perfect but pretty close

Pictures come out great & if you don't want to waste time adjusting the settings you can make it automatic & the pictures come out great. I've had other Sony cameras through the years & they just keep getting better.

Best camera for price

Battery life could be better but it’s not too bad. Features zoom, face smoothening, stabilization. I would say it’s worth it if you’re looking to vlog or even just document a trip with videos or photos.

Great for streaming, recommend camlink

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched to this from a Canon Rebel SL2 with the kit lens, this is FAR superior in lowlight situations and has a clean HDMI output that allows for autofocus with an elgato cam link, highly recommend for people looking to upgrade streaming camera. However, if you’re going to use it as a webcam, just spend the extra $100-$200 on a camlink as well otherwise your quality won’t be nearly as good as it could be.

The battery probably last 30min which is a deal breaker for me because each battery cost like 70$. The camera overheats a lot as well, but the resolution is amazing! It takes really good pictures as well and the audio is a 10/10. This easy a great purchase

Please note that some cameras, may experience heating issues due to various factors, including prolonged use, environmental conditions, or specific camera settings. While we strive to design our cameras to handle different situations, sometimes unexpected issues can arise. As a suggestion you can set the Auto Power Temp settings to High, to prolong the video recording time.

Great camera but, be aware of lens size

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can give it a 4 star review because it is a great camera and all its features work perfectly from the 4k, adjusting settings, easy to use and its does it's job for representing a vloggers camera but, the lens itself when recording is small and you might need to purchase a wider lens to help do so otherwise you really need to extend your arm to capture all of your face or further your camera if your taking a 3rd person shot.

Best vlogging and travel camera

Great Starter Camera

The camera itself is very light and takes great photos. Besides the memory card, this camera gives you the basic accessories to start using it. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the battery lifespan is terrible. If you're deciding to buy this camera, please buy an extra battery for it and a memory card. Also, I noticed that when recording at 4K/30p the camera will get hot and shut down for long extended recording.

Great For All Needs

Almost a great camera

Had to buy a smallrig cage to make the camera better and more user-friendly. Best Buy is an ok place to buy things but I'm getting tired of them. They just don't seem to appreciate good customers like they used to.

I did a lot of research before ordering this camera, and I reviewed all the available pictures. But somehow I failed to notice this drawback, and I reluctantly returned the camera without using it. My hands have too much arthritis to permit a firm grip, and I can't risk dropping my equipment. BestBuy was terrific about the sale and return, and I DO recommend this product to those who will use it with the tripod.
