I overall really like the camera. My only concern was it overheated too quickly. I was outside early in the am and it was only about 70 degree and I was in the shade and then it said it overheated after 15 min of use. I walked in the house and then turned it on and it worked all within 1 min. So I am not sure why being outside even in the coolest temps makes this camera say its overheating. overall I really like the camera but just this little glitch is a pain but you can just push record again and it starts (at least in my conditions in shade at 70 degrees or lower)

I brought this camera to start vlogging and to bring on my trip and it has amazing 4k quality. Although without changing the settings it will stop on its own after maybe 5 minutes.

AMAZING Camera.. I primarily used it for Gaming as a webcam but then wanted to use it outside and I've noticed I purchased a damaged device. Kept shutting off and writing data to memory card wasn't working. I did buy used from BESTBUY and didn't check every part of the camera because the use was for a webcam. But the Camera its self is Top Notch.

So far, I am happy with this camera. This is good for Youtube or vlogging. My only complete is the internal mic. You are better off purchasing a lapel mic or a shotgun mic. It is easy to use. Easy to download videos and pictures. It fits on a tripod or any other camera accessory. If you want to start a YouTube Channel or take videos and photos but cannot afford a thousand-dollar camera, this works.

Great camera. Small & portable. Pictures come out great & if you don't want to waste time adjusting the settings you can make it automatic & the pictures come out great. I've had other Sony cameras through the years & they just keep getting better.

Use this Camera everyday since I got it and I love it . Perfect for Vlogs and pics for vacation

Great camera for beginners and really good quality. Battery life could be better but it’s not too bad. Features zoom, face smoothening, stabilization. I would say it’s worth it if you’re looking to vlog or even just document a trip with videos or photos.

It’s an amazing camera honestly. The battery probably last 30min which is a deal breaker for me because each battery cost like 70$. The camera overheats a lot as well, but the resolution is amazing! It takes really good pictures as well and the audio is a 10/10. This easy a great purchase

Really brilliant, game-changing favorite purchase. Making videos is seamless, they save directly to mp4 so easily uploadable to any platform. Small and lightweight. Used it to make a lot of lectures that required a side by side of my face / profile and keynote/powerpoint. Makes editing simple. If you are using it as a primary audio source, I would definitely buy an external mic. I bought the Rode small one, which really improved the sound quality over this camera's inbuilt mic.

I bought this with the intention of being able to do much higher quality videos for marketing and training. It does not disappoint. I've owned other Sony's in the past and besides the work I just described I can also easily take this on a vacation and have a great camera for both stills and video (I love my iPhone for convenience but it cannot take images like this can).

This camera is perfect and very compact so I’m not lugging around a heavy camera. The picture/video quality is great at a decent price point. It can do everything you could possibly need it to do. I’ve had it for 2 years and it’s still performing like the day I got it.

Best camera for Vlogging, travel and product reviewing. and it fits in my pocket. I do not like the cell phone quality for pictures and videos and always wanted a hardware that was small and powerful. if you travel a lot then this is a mist have. we have created some amazing memories with this camera

8/10 Great quality in all aspects. Great camera to start vlogging or just to take pictures. Only thing I would change about this camera is that it doesn’t come with flash, but you can always purchase a light separately from Amazon

I switched to this from a Canon Rebel SL2 with the kit lens, this is FAR superior in lowlight situations and has a clean HDMI output that allows for autofocus with an elgato cam link, highly recommend for people looking to upgrade streaming camera. However, if you’re going to use it as a webcam, just spend the extra $100-$200 on a camlink as well otherwise your quality won’t be nearly as good as it could be.

Bought the camera specifically for shooting extended videos to add to my websites and YouTube Channel. Sound quality is excellent using the built-in microphone. However, the 3.5 audio port for audio for adding a Lavelier MIC or wired external MIC is a key feature. Other less expensive cameras do NOT have this feature.

I can give it a 4 star review because it is a great camera and all its features work perfectly from the 4k, adjusting settings, easy to use and its does it's job for representing a vloggers camera but, the lens itself when recording is small and you might need to purchase a wider lens to help do so otherwise you really need to extend your arm to capture all of your face or further your camera if your taking a 3rd person shot.

I like the camera. I wish it was cheaper but I also own a Canon G7X mkii. The main advantage is the mic jack but I also feel the overall video quality is a bit better on this Sony. The build seems better on the canon but I’d still take the a Sony. I actually prefer the screen on top like canons but it has to be to the side on the Sony because of the mic input. I was never a fan of point and shoots costing more than a few hundred dollars but if your in the market for vlogging id say it’s a go. Not perfect but pretty close

Excellent ! Bought it for a trip to Europe and turned out to be quite amazing. Everything from clarity color ease of use stills and 4k videos was just great. Very light and compact with it’s very own Sony OS. More zoom would have been welcome.

***PROS:*** 1.) The F/1.8 is great. It's bright. 2.) The zoom is solid. 3.)The size and weight for the specs are light and small. 4.) Sony stabilization is good. 5.) Phase-detect auto focus is excellent. 6.) Screen is quality. ***CONS:*** 1.) Skin tones are inconsistent and specifically come across pink. 2.) Auto ND doesn't work half the time. Manual ND isn't dark enough. 3.) The widest angle isn't wide enough for vlogging (unless you like shaky video). 4. The battery is small. 5.) The battery door is blocked when using a selfie-stick or tripod, so you can't easily swap the battery or change SD card. 6.) The menu system is old and non-touch (as compared to the latest Sony cameras. ***CONCLUSION:*** If you're using this for product/overhead photography from an appropriate distance and are sure to have it charged by external power (or are only taking short videos), you may find it acceptable, but having to unscrew the tripod or camera from the mount is a pain - one which will cause unnecessary wear to the camera and your other equipment.

It works well once you "learn" it. It works best for video and vlogging. Pics are good. Most of what this does could be done on a newer phone. You need to have a better microphone for pick-up. Overall, it's good but not great.
