    Worst Camera Ever - Stay with a Web Cam or Phone

    This is the absolute worst camera I have ever purchased. I previously had a Logictech webcam and of course I thought this one would be better. It's a Sony and meant for content creators, which is what I use it for. It's been awful!!! I am unable to get sound directly into the camera through a microphone so I have to use different programs to align my video and audio. Mind you, that's if I am actually able to get the video off of the camera. Three times now in 2 months I have experienced recording a video, anywhere from 35 minutes to 89 minutes and when I go to download it to my system, it is unavailable. Only the Edge file is available and not the MP4 file. Which basically means I have zero video. This is awful because the camera doesn't even give me any audio and now I have zero video. This camera is supposed to be for content creators yet the Sony software makes it more difficult. Like it was easier to use Logictech software and sacrifice a little video quality to get my video output. The other thing that is awful about this product is that you are unable to use this camera with Elgato's capture card. This seriously limits a content creators ability to provide a great video. There is no reason I should be hindered by both audio and capture card with a camera meant for content creators. I'm wondering what type of content creators this camera is meant for. I have the camera plugged directly into my computer yet the Sony software says it has to record to the memory card. So that is now an extra step for me as I have to download the content from the video card onto my hard drive which takes an additional 15 minutes - 15 minutes is a lot of time for something that should be recording directly to my hard drive. Not quite understanding how this product is so revolutionary for content creators, a web cam and probably even my Android phone would work better than this. At least I would get audio and video together. Oh, and for recording on 1/60 shutter speed, I can't believe how often I have to stop during my recording because the video is blurry.

    I started doing YouTube videos and needed a camera. I thought this one would have been bigger. Haven’t used it yet. It may be ok. We will see.

    Great size for a camera! I was hoping photo quality that was better than my iPhone 14. Unfortunately, the camera didn’t come close to beating the iPhone.

    sony zv-1 worst camera ever

    Bought this camera when they first launched at a price of $800 ish. It constantly overheats and the manufacturer Mickey Moused it to work until the 1yr warranty wore out. I cant use it for more than 10 minutes before it overheats and stops recording. Save your money and find something better!
