Starting my YouTube was challenging on my iPhone because I barely had storage for my long vlogs so this was so helpful and the staff really broke everything down and recommended great accessories I still use to this day ! I love it. I don’t regret my purchase. It doesn’t come with flash, however, and it doesn’t accept flash attachments so you would have to get an LED light, but I am loving my camera and it is great for beginners like me who want to take everyday photos/videos. Video quality is exceptional.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ZV-1F is a newer release and has a USB-C The old ZV-1 model still has micro-USB The dimensions are the not same. ZV-1F has a full touch menu ZV1 only had a touch focus (not for navigating menu). This is marketed as "For Vloggers". It's an entry level more than a pro level, like the RX100 (for more heavy pro users), with its limitations. If you just want a simple "vlogging" camera where you hit record and some light manual adjustments, this camera is for you. Battery is NP-BX1 (same with most Sony compact cameras) I've been a Canon photographer, but I think Sony is more advanced and innovative with their camera and features. The "Product Showcase Set" feature is really cool and works well; if you do product videos, it can rack focus back and forth smoothly of you and the object in front, like holding a pencil.

I took it on a hiking trip and I got exactly 1 hr of footage with the 60gig sd they provided in package. It lasted about an hour while out before dying. I would suggest getting a second battery pack and larger SD card. I am a newbie and I am using pretty much as is and so far I like. Of course could be better but you would be paying more.
