The sound that comes out isn’t distorted or anything and you can feel the bass coming from the speakers. I’ve never had a issue with one speaker breaking, leaving you with only one speaker that works. The only con is the plastic around the speaker eventually deteriorates but that didn’t happen for about 2-3 years so they are well worth the money.

I do wish it came with a volume/mute control but not a big deal since I have that on my remote/pc that i use it with(it does say that it has volume control in the description I saw tho')-fyi...

They have very nice sound balance and a sufficiently long cord. The only less positive thing I have to say is the comfort is not great when wearing for long periods of time. Good value for the price and fills the need for what I was looking for.

They're average headphones and the price was right

They are just average. But the price was pretty good at $10.99 and that makes up for it. I was replacing my Koss headphones (they are listed at about $20 online at Best Buy. The sound was excellent before they failed but I wanted to try a new product so I went with the Sony.
