Sound pretty good

They work for that, for his Nintendo 2DS and the in-car DVD player. I am far from an audiophile but these sound fine to me, I would have returned them if they didn't. I don't think it makes sense to buy expensive headphones for a little kid, so these are certainly good enough for that. It helps that they are Sony, a brand I have always trusted.

I put it on and it didnt fit my adult head comfortably although it is adjustable. The sound quality is quite good

Although a budget head phone, it is quite well built and robust. It has been able to withstand the daily rough handling that my child had put it through.
