When plugged into the audio jack, the headphones have an unanticipated dampening effect. Consequently the audio on the unit they are plugged into has to be turned way up. It's impossible to get the phones above a moderate music level despite max output from all volume controls. If you are looking for something to rock your eardrums, don't get these, they are just too soft spoken.
