I bought it for a Christmas gift But I am handicapped and unable to return it to the store to get a new one. good sound but headband is not comfortable

One review that I read here even stated that the headphones were padded and very comfortable. (The head part is actually NOT padded, not sure why someone wrote that in their review- only the ear part is padded). I needed this for an airplane trip. The sound quality is good and the actual headphone part (the ear pieces) are pretty comfortable however the plastic headband is very uncomfortable. It presses down onto the top of my head, and hurts. For reference, I have a small head. I did not see anyone else write the headband was pressing into their head. I am not sure how I am the only person who is writing about this. I like that these fold up flat and that was pretty convenient as I was able to just put them in a book bag until I needed them again. They are not noise-canceling, so I was able to hear the plane engine but when I borrowed someone else's noise canceling headphones for a minute, I heard the engine through theirs too, just not as loud as with these Sony headphones. For the price, I will probably keep these. I may try to figure out someway to add padding to the headband so they are more comfortable.
