This is an absolute gorgeous movie to watch, visually. On an OLED TV it's simply stunning. The visual and audio quality here are second to none. The Dolby Vision really makes this movie pop off of the screen. Pixar seems to cover so many topics that others may not be able to make work, and do them with class, and this one is no different. A bit more geared towards the older people though, not nearly as much of a kids movie as some of their bigger movies have been. But it's a wonderful story, brilliantly told, with visuals that are among the best Pixar has ever done. And the discs here certainly do it all justice.

I was caught off guard by this lovely Pixar film. While I always enjoy their work, some of their recent movies I feel did not pass the high bar they set in the past. So I went into SOUL expecting to simply be entertained by the craftsmanship and artistry. Instead I was blown away by this moving, beautiful and often hilarious film. It is quite simply a superb work in every regard. The music, even though not my preference for casual listening, is stunning and so much a character of the film. SOUL is now my favorite from PIXAR, replacing RATATOUILLE in the top spot.

This is a movie about a man who dies but refuses to cross over because he has unfinished business. Something about wanting to play in a jazz band but his hands get too sweaty because of his nerves and he messes up. Basically Ghost but instead of wanting to hook up with Demi Moore he just really wants to play some music in a jazz band and get a hair cut. He becomes a cat. Ooops spoiler alert! After he becomes a cat some other things happen and a blue soul creature he meets learns some new things along the way too. Great fun!

Soul is a movie about an uncelebrated musician who wants to be more. He finds himself with an opportunity to get into the big times, however, fate steps in and he is soon finding himself in the “after life” in which he wants to get back to his life. But first, he must not only figure out the meaning of life but help another wayward sole to find it for themselves. Definitely not Biblical but it is a very nice movie. Watch it with the children but you might want to be ready for some questions you are not prepared to answer.

This movie looked fantastic while I was watching it. Soul (2020) is one of Pixar's best movies. It is thought-provoking, and it has a good message for struggling artists, reminding them that having a good life is not all about focusing on your passion. A good life also requires you to step back and enjoy the little things, whether it is with family or friends. A really great movie!

Without a doubt, Soul is one of the best films of all time. Pixar is usually terrific, so this isn't a surprise, but they really delivered something extra special here. Anyone interested in owning great cinema should pick up this extraordinary film in one of its Blu-ray editions. I'm glad I was able to get the steelbook, but if you can't find it anymore, the standard 4K release features the same content.

I highly recommend this Disney/Pixar film. It was nominated and won, for best animated feature film at this year’s Academy awards. And you know what? I totally agree with the Academy Board of Directors choice. Soul is an excellent film!! Watch it. It is not a film that’s just for children to enjoy. This film contains some adult themes such as introspection, self-sacrifice, and what are the things in life that really matter.

I'm not normally a big fan of animated movies but there are some that I love. Soul is now on that list. The story is wonderful, the music is great and Jaime Foxx and the other actors who are the voices of the various characters are first rate. The HDR10 picture is excellent as is the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Pixel's rendering techniques get better and better. Soul is a clear winner that the entire family can enjoy again and again

After reading numerous very positive reviews and listening to the soundtrack and the movie being animation, I still had some reservation that this would be such a good movie. It is outstanding and was a lot of fun to watch. Picture quality is incredible as is the audio quality. Story is excellent as well. A movie that will show what your television and sound system is capable of. I recommend this movie to all!

One of the most visually stunning Pixar movies gets the steelbook treatment that's every bit as vibrant. Its colors really stand out on the shelf, even if the artwork isn't quite what you'd expect. The movie itself is a beautiful, emotional look at purpose and what drives us, and is top-tier Pixar. If you're in the market for a fun, funny, emotional, visually breathtaking movie, look no further than Soul!

Music teacher Joe finally gets his big chance to play with one of the jazz greats but ends up dead. That doesn't stop him from getting back to Earth to make his audition and change his life forever. He gets help along the way by a few different and strange characters. In the end he learns the truth about his life goals and helping others.

I am giving this movie 5 stars. Unfortunately, I had to order this twice in Steele Book. Both Steele Books came in damaged in the exact same spot. I would have liked the special Steele Book cover but, alas this was not an option. The in store sales person was very helpful when I returned both at the different times as they came in.

I read a little about Soul before watching it without spoiling it, and everything was positive. I went in expecting a good pixar movie but nothing else, boy was I in for one of the best pixar movies ever. This movie is soooo goood, the music (both styles), the plot, the animation, the message, everything is just very good. This is a must watch/own movie

I wasn't sure what to expect, I had only seen the teaser trailer, but Pixar always does great work and this did not disappoint. Great movie to watch, not heavy or preachy even though it explores the after life. Love their explanation of how souls are made. 22 is a great character. Her history with great minds from the past is hilarious!

This movie is definitely among some of the best Pixae has done, it asks us "are we really hapoy with who we are?", "Will getting what I want make me happy?". This movies really puts into perspective our goals, and how sometimes what we want is less important than helping others achieve what they want. Steelbook is awesome.

"Soul" definitely lives up to it's title as it's Pixar's most emotionally complex film yet, and with it's inclusivity, the beautiful score by NIN and Jon Batisite, never-better direction by Pete Doctor (with Kemp Powers as co-director) and star power of Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey, "Soul" has every age group to offer.

I fell in love with the movie instantly when I saw it. From it taking place in NYC, to things I felt like I could easily identity with being born and raised from NYC. This movie has a beautiful message and easily one of my favorite Pixar movies. The steelbook is beautifully done and a worthy addition to my collection.

Soul was one of the best Peter Doc movies I have seen. Soul is a good family movie and goes great with Up & Wall-E. I bought this for my family and my dad really enjoy it. You should pick up a copy soon and watch it with your family members. It teaches up life is very important no matter what life throws at you.

Shame that this one wasn't in theaters since it was meant to be experienced on the big screen, I mean this is Pixar we are talking about. But at least everyone got to experience it during Christmas, which was one of the best Pixar films, and personally my third favorite one next to Toy Story 2, The incredibles

The steelbook is beautiful. I love the colors and the artwork. The movie is an absolute delight. I'm so glad I was able to snag a copy of this at a Best Buy that was just an hour away from me! I was devastated when it had sold out everywhere near me on its release date. The trip was well worth it!
