    adam and brian have beed great. very responsive and helpul.unfortunately; i am compelled to give my first negative score. the signal continues to drop on the new tv. not sure if it is a defective marantz receiver or a connection to the receiver. the upstairs sound bar does not allow the volume to come on still. it eventually comes on but can take up to 4 minutes. i want to be clear the aforementioned, technicians are great but the technical problems continue.

    Geek Squad Didn't Install my tv

    I was extremely disappointed in the installation. First of all it was some random third party people who came out to do the installation. They could hardly speak English. They were not even able to hang and mount my two tvs. I thought for getting the total tec protection I would be getting Geek Squad mounting my tvs and soundbar.

    The guys that installed the amount were great. They did really good work. However, my single-star review is for the custimer service. I'm a total texh member so the installation of the tv and sound system is free. I requested the service in 23 Aug and my tv wasn't installed until almost a month later ! It was only because I kept following that anything happened. Several times my order was canceled or pushed back for no legitimate reason. Had ro physically go back to the store and call online. Worse part is you cant get ahold of any actual decision maker. Everyone just passes the buck and types notes in their computers. No one can actually look at the situation and say "hey we missed up here let me fix this!". Awful experience.

    The Geek Squad came, installed and left us with the mess and no operating instructions. Considering that the wall mount and cables for the previous led hdtv were used, we had expected their help in providing operating instructions and initial troubleshooting instead of just handing us the remote and leaving.

    The agent drilled into the wall to mount the sound bar. After over an hour, he said it was not compatible with the TV. So had a sound bar mounted that couldn't be utilized. If this is sometimes an issue, you would think that it would have been tested first to ensure it worked. So I had to take down the sound bar, plaster and sand the wall and then paint.

    The sound bar looks great and sound good (when it works) Not the best bar you can buy Not please with the sound bar

    5 minutes late

    My original install was cancelled after I showed up a five minutes late even though I called the technician to let him know I wax five minutes behind schedule and he had agreed to wait for me. As I drove up the street he was pulling off and I stopped him, he just pointed at his watch and pulled off. A second appointment was set for a third party to come and do the install of my surround sound and sound bar, and the tech showed up around 8 o’clock at night even though install window started at 12 pm. I noticed a few days later that my sound bar was leaning, after a quick investigation so noticed that only three of the bracket screws that came with the set were installed and he had installed a much smaller screw in one of the bracket holes which allowed the bracket to hang from the wall. I usually get better service from geek squad but this time I was highly disappointed.

    Agents said the bestbut employee gave me the wrong setup plan for my soundbar and I had to be charged extra before they worked on installing it. Very unprofessional.

    Geek Squad never showed up for my appointment

    We booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance and I blocked the taking off from work and the Geek Squad folks never showed up nor sent any email/text notification that they are not coming. The systems are broken and I can still not schedule an appointment nor cancel it. Hopeless service! Our TV and sound bar are still not mounted. Hopeless service and not customer friendly. We called call center and the folks at call center are indifferent and they were ok if we want to return the TV and Sound bar instead of fixing the issue and scheduling someone to come before Christmas. This is the last time I am engaging Geek Squad.

    Sadly they did not send Geek Squad. It was a service they used to get it done faster. They did not protect my wood counter under the tv. Fortunately when they dropped screws it didn't damage. Fingerprints all over screen and they didn't have a proper cloth to clean it. Very disappointed Geek Squad itself does great work

    The agent mounted the bar and connected everything. It worked a few days then stopped. Constant problem between the bar and TV. Finally that was fixed but now constant problem between TV and headphones. 3 technicians, very nice and all, but we still have an issue.

    Super cheap. You truly get what you pay for on this one. It would have been better to put up a floating shelf. This one seems like sound bar will fall off at any time.

    This should have been included in my tv mounting installation. An extra $85 to hang the 1” X 20” bracket.

    Surprise at the Poor Job

    Poor job. I didn't realize until after he left that the soundbar was hung correctly. It eventually fell of the wall. Luckily, I had another Geek Squad team come out for a project. They [TJ Moats & Elisha Toerryson] fixed it for me.

    When I bought this sound bar the salesman told me that I could hook a turntable up to it using a convertor box. Geeksquad had alot of difficulty hooking it up through the convertor box. In the end, they hooked it up directly to the LG tv by essentially 'tricking' the tv and the turntable did play through the sound bar... The problem came when after about 10 minutes or so, since the tv was not sensing a video, it would shut off.... no more audio... Unfortunately this was not realized until days after installation... The guy told me to text him if there were any problems, but he never returned my texts.... I let it go due to coVid just beginning in NYC... but this was a terrible experience and I feel like I got scammed by the salesman and that geek squad was not up to the task. I had told the salesman that it was extremely important that the turntable was able to play through the soundbar... Had I known it was not going to work, I would have bought a wired stereo receiver and speakers for the same cost. I will not use Best Buy again..

    after install had problem sound cutting out agent that came out figured out the sound bar lg and tv samsong did not match did a fix at no cost to me
