Do No Buy from Best Buy Town Center Jacksonville

Placed order at Best Buy Town Center Parkway in Jacksonville, Florida on Nov. 29 and paid. Delivery scheduled Dec. 9. Spent hours on the phone to learn delivery cancelled. Was told by CS I should just cancel order. I am furious!!!

I purchased Geek Squad installation for TV and a new sound bar I already purchased. The Geek guys arrived, told me a couple of the items I purchased were not the right ones and sold me new ones. They also said I didn't need to hang my sound bar. I said I had already paid $49.99 to install it. The guy assured me he would have my card credited for the amount. I've been to the store twice and they said they would check with the installer and get back to me. It has been 11 days and no has called me back and I have not received a refund. My advice, make your purchase somewhere else. I would not recommend Geek Squad or Best Buy for anything.

Installer was a nightmare

After arguing with me he finally did install. He made me feel uncomfortable the entire time stating he was doing it as “a favor” and I should be happy he was setting it up. I also had a removal added and he tried refusing until I showed him paperwork and said if he didn’t take tv I would report him. After everything, he kept saying he did it as a favor and I should be “grateful”, to interrupt as to tip him. I am very displeased with this type of service as I purchased this for my brother for his birthday gift. I will not be using Best Buy in Vegas ever again

Bad experience

Too easy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could definitely have done this myself. I wasn’t sure what all this would include, so Best Buy talked me into having them take care of this for me also. But all he did was plug it in and attach it to the TV. Something I definitely could’ve done on my own and save the money.

Sloppy Job

My surround sound was hooked up so sloppy, that I need someone else to come out and fix the rear speakers. I have speaker wire on the floor where I can trip over it.

unhappy install

We left the house and when we came back one hour later one side of the soundbar is hanging down away from the TV and bracket seems loose. Went into a store to get this service rescheduled. They would have someone call us. Got the VM as when we try to return the call we are on hold for 15 mins and have to leave a message for a call back. Have left 3 messages with the correct phone number to call back and return call is to wrong number and still had to leave another message. This is very upsetting. Not sure what we paid for as this service has been very poor,

Good sound when it works

We have replaced the Comcast cable boxes and they say it is either the Sony tv or the Sony soundbar. Best buy blames comcast and comcast blames. Guess we will have to live with it.

Best Buy is a rip off
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The workers were completely professional, but they are not the ones that charged me $150 for them to do basically nothing they hooked up my sound bar to Bluetooth which I could’ve done in five seconds and charged me $150. I paid to have the Soundsystem installed. It’s a wireless Soundsystem so they did absolutely nothing.

Sound bar mount did not fit TV

Terrible service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The installer didn’t seem to know what he was doing, he tried to tell us because we bought a Samsung Frame TV, it could not be centered on the wall then when he connected the Samsung soundbar he used the wires and insisted they were needed, the soundbar is wireless and when we installed and mounted our other TV we needed no wires. He was rude and condescending, he had no extra supplies with him as he told us”I squally have screws with me but it’s the end of the day and Imran out” Really poor service for the high price.

Poor service delivery

The 3rd party installers removed the TV that Best Buy geek squad broke and gave a credit after 8 days of calling every day. It is a month later and I am still waiting to have the TV installation finished and the sound bar mounted. The automated system and the lack of accountability to escalate has been incredibly frustrating - even though I have spent several thousand on this project and over $5K this year. Disappointing - good prices but the service attention has been terrible.
