These were a waste of money and were returned within 48 hours. He also couldn't get the remote to ever actually change the soundbar unless he was directly in front of it.

I didn't expect much from this insignia because it's much less expensive than my vizio soundbars. Surprisingly, it works just as well and the bluetooth is reliable. It's superior to the nakamichi in every way and the sound is crisp. Volume gets plenty loud, and there are plenty of hookups on the soundbar. For the price, there isn't a better soundbar. Just note that it may not work with over the air TV broadcasts when using an optical cable depending on the sound format that your TV puts out to the speaker.

Static and popping became an issue after only about a month. I would not suggest to a friend to purchase this product.
