I was about to return my new SONY tv because the sound was so horrible on movies, and then I saw this little gem. I hooked it into my headphone jack with the included 3.5mm stereo plug and was amazed at how wonderful the sound was. By using the headphone jack I was able to control the volume using my TV control so very simple for my not so techy wife...There is a bass boost so no need for a sub woofer..The bass boost sounds great.. I like the three programmed sound settings as it alows quick change for the occasional movie that has the music too loud...Don't spend hundreds on a sound bar, this guy is perfect...Only problem I had was the thickness was too big to put in fronnt of my set so I wall mounted it behind it..

What can I say but wow? I purchased mine online, but I will say that anyone who says this is only as good as TV sound is wrong. This sound bar is not as good as bose or higher end brands, no question. However for the money, it adds great sound to music, TV and movies. We find ourselves actually having to turn it down. In our living room this works great. Seriously, compared to speakers on a TV, even and entry level soundbar like this one sounds excellent. So much easier to hear dialogue, music, sound effects etc just so much more crisp and full. Especially if you catch it on sale, pick one up. If you only have good picture, you might as well be missing half the movie using TV speakers.

I managed to nab one of these during the Back Friday sale, and I'm so glad I did! I find the quality of sound perfect for my apartment. Sometimes it feels *too* loud! It's very basic and easy to use, but I do have to switch channels every time I turn on the sound bar. I feel it's a great buy for those who live in small spaces or are on a budget!

This is a nice soundbar,just wish it had a usb connection and a speaker wattage output. You do get 1 rca audio input, a digital audio input, and an auxiliary 3.5 mm input. This soundbar is designed to work best with 32' tv and smaller. It does include a nice 3.5nn to 3.5 mm cable at 6ft length and a 6ft rca audio cable (red and white connectors). it is also easy to pair / connect you phone or tablet to the Bluetooth function of the sound bar.

I picked this bar up for around $50 and it was an excellent buy. It has such a great sound for cheap. I just wish the lights that showed if it was on or off were up front or easier to see. I turned it off while it was on a few times. Other than that, no complaints from me. Sure you can get better BUT you'll pay a lot more. This bar is normally $99 but it's usually on sale every month or every other month. If you want a bar for cheap or a bar that has very good sound, get this one. Or at least try it out in the store first. That's if it's on display of course.

I bought this sound bar for my mother who is a little hard of hearing. I bought it to go along with her new Insignia tv that she was having trouble hearing unless the volume was at 100%. It made a world of difference. Not only can she sit in the room and hear her shows better, but she can also listen to the music channels that she loves while she does other things around the house. The sound is loud enough and very clear. She loves it so far.

Great sound in my small room and also good bass for not having a sub with it!!!!

I just connected my soundbar and so far very pleased. It may not be the best quality audio that many other shoppers want. However, it works for me. The sound is richer than what comes from my TV speakers and now directed in front of the TV towards the viewer. So far the remote seems to be fine. My universal remote does not support insignia audio. However, I have raised the volume on the sound bar and control the volume on my TV with my universal remote. No need to have to keep track of where I left the remote.

Its a great mini sound bar for the price! Bluetooth connectivity is a plus.

My 65" Vizio needed a sound boost as most TV's do. This thing is fantastic and only $49.99 right now you can't go wrong. I just want to say the people saying they couldn't get the red and white RCA cable to work are most likely doing it wrong. Either not selecting the proper source on the speaker or are hooking to the TV audio in instead of the out. The RCA connection supplied works just fine and is pretty standard. Optical connection may be slightly better but not necessary.

I am impressed by the sound output of this bar and going to buy couple more for gifting. This has standard, theater and news modes along with bass on/off. You can further connect to a subwoofer if you want to via the subwoofer out port.

I bundled the sound bar with Insignia's 4K television and I'm so happy I did! The sound quality has exceeded my expectations. When I listen to the TV without the sound bar, I find myself to even be more pleased with the purchase. Well worth it. If you're going to make the investment to purchase a new TV, spend the extra dollars to complete your user experience.

I just purchased this sound bar to go with a 55 inch 4K TV I recently received. The sound through the TV was horrible and the sound bar made an immediate and dramatic improvement to my viewing experience. I am simply a casual user and not an audiophile. The sound bar is LOUD with my TV and in a good way. I only have to set it at 6 to get a full, loud experience. Pushing it to 7 and the significant other complains the TV is too loud from the other room. I dare not push it farther than that. The base could be a little better but it is still worlds better than the TV speakers. Very easy to set up with the included cables. I had it set up in minutes. The soundbar/TV combo worked superbly when watching the NFL games yesterday afternoon. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

I bought this as an upgrade to the sound on older tv and couldn't be happier. We used to have to turn the tv up to 80 (yikes) to get proper movie watching audio. With this soundbar, I just keep the tv at 15 and can press the volume up button once or twice on the soundbar and it's amazing! I can't believe I waited so long.

I was very skeptical when I received my soundbar. Upon setup and firing it up and watching a film I was completely blown away. Although it does not come with a subwoofer there is a bass option to enable bass on the speakers and they are powerful. The clarity and immense sound on this thing is amazing! I would definitely buy again.

I got very lucky and picked this up for 50% off for a price of $49.99. This was a very welcome addition to my new tv which is also Insignia. It adds some much needed depth to the listening experience and brings a movie theater feel to watching tv. I would have liked to have either a volumn bar or a number sequence so that you could see where your volumn is at. That would have been a nice touch. That is not a complaint, though. This is a wonderful sound bar and I am very happy with it. I hooked it up via a digital optical cable as it is my understanding that that is the best. You can't go wrong with this little beauty. Along with the great sound it also looks pretty cool sitting in front of the tv.

I just bought a new TV a few months ago and didn't realize how quiet the new one would be. When this went on sale for $49, i figured I might as well try it. For an entry level piece of technology, this did everything i want. It amplified everything for my TV and even had a bluetooth connection for my phone! It may be a little quieter without the Bass Boost turned on but otherwise i'm enjoying it.

I bought this for my father in law for Christmas. He always had his volume loud on his television. Now he has this sound bar installed and has the volume down and is able to hear what's being said.
