I like the features on this soundbar and the fact you can add a subwoofer if you want to. I use the Bluetooth function with my phone which is nice for background music. The fullness of the sound is not the highest quality but there is no distortion until you get it real loud and it sure beats the sound of TV speakers.

This soundbar has solid sound quality for the price! No complaints, very practical to use and set up.

I bought this sound bar for my husband as an early Christmas gift. He had been asking to get a sound bar for our flat screen tv for awhile. He can't stop saying how much he loves it. The sound is definitely improved from before. It does give that theater effect and I often find I am always telling him to turn it down since it's too loud - not turn it up. It's a great addition to our setup and he/I couldn't be happier with it so far!

This soundbar provides us with much better sound then we had on our 32 Samsung TV which is ultimately what we were hoping for. The lack of a sub-woofer does mean that there is limited bass but it also does save floor space. This did not come with the hardware that you would need to wall mount the unit.

My parents downsized to a small home and purchased a 30 inch TV to fit their wall unit, whose opening is less than 35 inches. Both my dad and I are hard of hearing, and the sound from the TV was inadequate in their small living room; to hear dialogue clearly the volume had to be maxed out, and the sound quality was less than spectacular. We found this Insignia sound bar on sale at Best Buy. The length was small enough to fit their space, about 32". The sound quality from this bar, although not impeccable, is SO much better than the TV, and the volume doesn't have to be maxed out to understand the dialogue. I set it up to bluetooth with my mom's iPhone so she can listen to music, podcasts, Pandora, or radio with better sound quality and volume than the phone produces. The Insignia sound bar did not have an optical cord included, but it did have two other cords for hooking up the sound bar to the TV, depending on what your TV configuration is, and one of them worked for their TV. It does not come with a subwoofer, but it has an input to add one later. There is also a template for wall mounting, but no hardware. The remote is very simple with fairly large buttons for on/off, volume, 3 possible inputs, and bluetooth, so my folks like it's simplicity. In a bigger space I might have gone with a different model, but this one had all the things my folks needed: smaller size to fit their space, good sound, bluetooth availability, and great price. It would work well in a bedroom or other small space.

The sound is great when it works. We cannot use it with all applications. It does not work with Netflix when streamed through our dvd player, but does work with Netflix if streamed though our WiiU. It also does not work with any of the menu screens or previews on dvds, but does work for the actual movie.
