Exceptional Quality with Smart, Thoughtful Feature
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds made a strong impression right from the unboxing. The packaging feels premium, and I appreciated that it came with multiple ear tip sizes and a charging cord so I could get the right fit immediately. The charging case itself is beautifully designed, with a smooth slide‑open mechanism that feels sturdy and satisfying to use. Once I lifted the lid, the setup instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the earbuds arrived almost fully charged, which meant I could start using them right away. Pairing was effortless. As soon as they connected, I was prompted to download the Soundcore app, and I’m glad I did. The app is clean, intuitive, and includes simple video guides that walk you through the features. One of the standout elements is the built‑in hearing test, which tailors the sound profile to your personal hearing. That’s a level of customization I don’t usually see in earbuds at this price point, and it genuinely enhances the listening experience. The technical performance is impressive. With Bluetooth 5.3, the connection is fast and stable, and the adaptive active noise cancelling adjusts smoothly to different environments. The earbuds support Hi‑Res Audio with LDAC on compatible devices, and the sound quality—especially in noise cancelling mode—is rich, full, and immersive. Music, podcasts, and calls all sound clear and balanced. I also enjoy the extra features available through the app, such as sleep stories and white noise options, which make the earbuds even more versatile for relaxation or focus. Comfort is another strong point. I wore the Liberty 5s for several hours without any discomfort, and they stayed securely in place. As a side sleeper, I can’t comfortably sleep in them, but that’s more about my sleeping position than the earbuds themselves. For daytime use, they’re excellent. The battery life is also impressive, offering long listening sessions before needing a recharge, and the case provides additional power on the go. Overall, the Soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds deliver exceptional quality, thoughtful features, and a premium listening experience. From the sound performance to the comfort to the smart app integration, they feel like a well‑designed product from top to bottom. I’m genuinely impressed and very comfortable recommending them.

Works for all my needs including skiing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, these have become my new “everyday carry” headphones. The lid opens weird but that also means that it doesn’t randomly come open in my pocket like my old headphones and connect when I don’t want it to, but also, I can’t fidget with the case opening and shutting it when I want to either, or least it isn’t quite as satisfying. The calling seems to be crystal clear, including when I’m wearing my ski helmet, no one including my Dad who has a hard time hearing has had no issue hearing me while I’m on the mountain. I have them in transparency mode which works most of the time, this part is a little annoying as it seems to randomly stop being in transparency mode for a couple seconds. I can still hear, but it’s happened a couple of times when my kids tried taking to me that made me really aware of it, and I do wonder if it is because I am just wearing the without listening to music when I’m with my kids. If I’m with myself I’ll blast some tunes but I like to wear them with the kids as I can answer a call from my oldest who will go off onto another run while I work with his younger brother who is a bit slower still and this allows me to try and hold my phone up to my ear and stuff on the slope. Obviously, the controls don’t work too well in the ski helmet but these are the first bud controls I actually haven’t disabled. The controls on the buds themselves require you to squeeze them on both sides just a little bit, it takes a moment to figure it out to nail it every time but it is well worth it over other buds that I end up disabling as on those buds when I inevitably go to adjust the earbuds I’ll skip a song, pause, or do something I don’t want to do. These I don’t ever have that issue. The noise cancellation is also good, these aren’t headache inducing like some noise cancelling headphones which is awesome. The sound is great and the app is responsive and works good and the case while on the large size for a pocket is more than manageable. Pros: Transparency mode Noise cancellation Sounds great Long battery Life Stays on even when not playing music when in my ears. Crystal clear calling Cons: Transparency mode will sometimes stop for a second Case is on the large size

Fall out at the gym
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these to replace my Liberty Pro 3 earbuds because the batttery life was severely diminished after about 2 years. I liked the Liberty Pro 3's because the wings kept them from falling out of my ears at the gym. These didn't have the same design and so, they would fall out. As a result, I returned them and got the Soundcore Sport X20 buds which stay in better.

Pause/play issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I lost my soundcore Liberty 4 NC, which were great. I purchased these to replace them. I immediately noticed battery life was worse. After a month of usage, the headphones had issues. Media playback would constantly pause and play, like a bad connection. It did not matter what device was connected. I also reset the earbuds and disabled all touch controls. Issue persists. Working with Soundcore customer service to resolve.

Good sound and noise canceling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was actually pretty impressed with the sound and noise canceling quality on these. I'm definitely not the type of audiophile that can hear every frequency and tell you the technical reason a pair of headphones are good or bad, but I've tried and tested a lot of headphones and I know when something sounds good to me. Setup was really simple. Gone are the days of needing to take your earbuds out of the case in order to pair them. Now you just open the case up and find them in your bluetooth settings and you're off to the races. There's an app that includes more settings which (thankfully) allows you to skip logging in so you don't need an account (there's an test in the app that doesn't function if you don't have an account though). You're able to tune your sound the same way you do eye tests, by selecting your favorite of two sounds. You repeat it six times and they define an EQ that matches your preferences. You can also select varying degrees of noise cancellation or transparency mode. The noise cancellation levels seemed to be very small changes. I could tell there was a tiny bit of noise coming through with the lowest setting but it didn't feel like it did a ton to change things. Transparency mode works well when you (for some reason) don't want to tune the rest of the world out. Sound-wise, I was impressed the most about the quality of the bass on these earbuds. Again, not an audiophile here, but I just thought the bass sounded really good. It wasn't headache inducingly overpowered and it wasn't weak. It felt strong without being overbearing. The "signature" EQ that's on by default sounds good all on it's own, and then when you customize the EQ by choosing which sound sounds the best, I really am impressed with the sound these little earbuds give out. Comfort-wise, I don't usually have an issue with earbuds on a comfort standpoint. I didn't have any issues with these either. The default "medium" tips worked well for me but there are small, extra small, extra extra small, large and extra large tips supplied so you shouldn't have any issues with fit. One thing that might be a dealbreaker is the response of the earbud controls. I like to get a little feedback when I'm "clicking" on my earbuds but these have very little of that. It's hard to tell if you activated the control correctly. It might be something you get used to with time but I usually don't use the controls on the earbuds anyways so I didn't bother to do much learning on that front. Overall, I think these are really good earbuds at the price-point they're currently sitting at. Noise cancellation like this usually don't come in earbuds for this price at all, let alone good noise cancelling. The sound is also really good. So I really think you should give these a try if they're in your budget or even way under your budget to see if you don't need to spend more for the same. I'm not sure if these will replace my AirPod Pro 2's as my normal daily driver but as a backup pair, or something to leave at a secondary location where I'm going to want headphones a lot, these are definitely it.

Great Sound and App with Adaptive Noise Cancelling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several wireless earbuds from various brands, including JLAB. I never say no to an opportunity to test another pair of earbuds, especially those with ANC. Enter the Anker Liberty 5 Advanced In Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds. I like big bass and I cannot lie and the latest version Soundcore Liberty 5 don’t disappoint in the low frequency department. The mid frequencies are pretty clear as well, offering good sounding vocals. The high frequencies are crisp. All of the above sound quality is adjustable through the well developed Soundcore App that is very intuitive and feature-rich. It includes many adjustments such as multi-band equalizer with many presets or fully customizable sound curve. It also has multiple Adaptive/Active Noise Canceling (ANC 3.0) and Transparency modes. In order to get the best sound and ANC, make sure you pick the best fit for the ear tips - included are 6 different size silicone ear tips to accommodate most people. The case is not too bulky and it slides open nice and smooth. It supports wireless charging and also comes with a USB-C cable. With battery charging from the case, in normal listening mode, you can get up to 48-hours of listening, that goes down to 32 hours with ANC turned on, which is still plenty of time between charges. The Bluetooth connectivity works flawlessly and supports dual device connections in my case to my phone and work laptop. Sound quality is excellent both for music and movies thanks to Dolby audio and Hi-resolution LDAC audio. Voice calls are loud and clear for both parties, thanks to the 6 built-in mics that together with AI assistance they filter out wind-noise and other external sounds. I took some work calls while walking on the rail-trail for an hour on a windy day, and nobody even knew I was outdoors. I continued to wear them throughout the day for hours and they were light and a comfortable fit. All in all these Anker Soundcore Liberty 5 ANC earbuds will give more popular and expensive brands a run for their money, performing well with great sound, real-time adaptive noise canceling, an excellent App and great battery life at an affordable price under $100 - highly recommended.

Sleek, great sounding earbuds for a great value!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Soundcore Anker Liberty 5 Ear Buds bring a sleek, comfortable, stylish design to meet powerful, clear, and superb audio. First off, the case is awesome! I love the design as the top slides to the back, instead of the seemingly industry standard "flip top". The inside of the case is well formed to hold the buds in place, along with a magnetic hold that makes you feel like your buds aren't going anywhere. It is definitely a strong hold compared to other earbuds I have had. There is an LED strip on the front of the case to show your charging status. The case is also very slim and rounded so it makes it easy to carry and doesn't feel bullky. This is by far the coolest case I have seen. Functionality is cool and easy to learn, making it a breeze to change songs, answer calls, etc. The call quality is very clear on both ends. The kit comes with 6 different sizes of ear pieces to best fit any ear canal. The Soundcore app feels well refined and easy to use. It offers many features to better utilize the earbuds. You are able to change to preset equalizer settings, although the bass booster didn't seem to affect the bass output at all. Bass drops out at around 35hz., which isn't bad and actually has a good kick to the bass overall. I never felt the bass was overpowering, even on standard EQ settings. It does do a decent job with the noise cancellation, but didn't seem to fully quiet the background noise. It could have been a bit better. The audio on these earbuds is fantastic! The sound is very clear and pronounced. It feels good to turn a song up and jam out. Very easy to listen to podcasts or audiobooks. Has a good volume range that gets pretty loud overall. As I noted above, the bass level cuts out around 35hz., Which is pretty decent considering the pricing point of these earbuds. There is a great value built into these earbuds and I would definitely recommend.

The Earbuds are Awesome!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Soundcore Liberty 5 by Anker earbuds for about a week, and they have been awesome from day one. The sound is crisp, clear, and genuinely detail-rich, with balanced tuning that delivers clean treble and satisfying bass, thanks to the wool-paper diaphragms, bass-enhancing tubes, LDAC, and Hi-Res Audio support. Setup was extremely easy: I charged the earbuds, opened the case, and connected them to my phone in seconds. The Soundcore app makes the experience even better by letting me customize the sound exactly how I like it. The noise-cancelling is a standout feature. With Adaptive ANC 3.0 adjusting every 0.3 seconds in real time, it consistently keeps things quiet even when my environment changes, and the 2× stronger voice reduction does a great job at cutting down human voices on commutes like trains and subways. For entertainment, Dolby Audio with dedicated modes for music, movies, and podcasts makes everything feel more immersive and livelier, as if I am sitting closer to the action. Call quality has also been excellent. The six-microphone system with noise cancellation and a wind-resistant algorithm captures my voice clearly, so conversations sound natural. Battery life is another big win: I get long listening time throughout the day, and the case keeps me going for days. Fast charging is clutch, too. Getting up to 5-6 hours of playtime from a quick 10-minute charge is incredibly convenient. Overall, if you want comfortable Bluetooth earbuds with strong noise cancelling, customizable sound, immersive audio, clear calls, and long battery life, the Soundcore Liberty 5 is a fantastic choice.

Great earbuds with an awesome sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Soundcore Liberty 5 by Anker is a nice set of earbuds. It comes with features such as an advanced in ear design, with noise cancelling features. The product comes well packaged with quick start guide instructions printed on the inside label and inside packaging. There’s also a QR on the inner part of the box that takes you to their website for instructions, help and a link to download the soundcore app. The app allows you to customize the sound and features to your liking. It has quite a few EQ presets to choose from, which makes the music you’re listening to sound awesome. Underneath the packaging that holds the earbuds is a USB-A to USB-C cable, along with different size earbud tips. The earbuds were very easy to connect to my mobile phone. I’m able to listen to each earbud independently and both at the same time. When I take an earbud out of my ear, the sound or video pauses. When I place them back in, the music or video resumes. The case has a unique design unlike any other earbud I’ve used. Instead of the lid opening up in a hinge style, it slides up, then it slides back down to close. When sliding back down it has a satisfying click by its magnet. The earbuds also lock into place inside of the case by magnets as well. The earbuds have a nice feel inside of my ear, and are comfortable to wear. The case can be charged by placing them on your wireless charger, or charging them with the included charging cable (USB brick not included). Overall, I’m impressed with these earbuds and hope to get a lot of use from them.

Exceptional Sound, Superior Technology and Comfort
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds are better quality in terms of materials relative to both the charging case and the earbuds. The design of both the case and buds is functional and beautiful. The buds are very easy to fix in your ear. I did not encounter any after-pains that I sometimes get from wearing cheap earbuds for several hours. You do get several different earbud cushion sizes to ensure you find a size to fit perfectly. I rode my bicycle and jogged and the earbuds stayed perfectly in my ears. The sound is very smooth but robust. The noise cancelling does indeed remove unwanted background distractions without making music seem like in a tunnel – tip of the cap to the design engineers. I noticed that when I went from the house to the garage that the noise cancelling adapted to remove louder noises from fans that were running to keep things cool and clear the air in my workshop. I tried several phone calls and these buds are wonderful in making the voices clear and crisp. The buds were also very good at understanding my control taps. This is an area the Liberty 5 was much better than some more expensive buds to make all operations very precise and reliable. The app has a setup routine that helps you understand the technology and operation of the earbuds – well worth utilizing. I would highly recommend these buds for their solid performance both for music and phone calls.

Great buds for the price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are great true wireless earbuds for the price. They have a Manufacturer suggested retail price of $129.99 and for that price these sound great if you want a more lively sound. The active noise cancellation is decent for the price but don’t expect top tier active noise canceling from these. Battery life is rated at 12 hours per charge with ANC off and 8 hours on. I play my music loudly on earbuds and they don’t get that far but good enough. I wish there was more in 2026. But it competes with other brands battery life so it’s fine. The buds also work with sound cores app as well which is great. You can customize the EQ to have more or less bass and treble along with mids as well to your liking which is great feature you don’t always see in this price range. They also support LDAC codec which is great if you have an Android phone or device that supports that codec. Also comes with multiple ear tips as well so you can get a customized fit. For me mediums fits fine like most earbuds but I would suggest trying different ones because it could change between manufacturers.

Liberty 5: Big Sound, Incredible Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re coming from the Liberty 4 line, the Liberty 5 feels like more of a refinement than a radical overhaul. The Liberty 5 improves on things like battery life and adaptive noise cancellation compared with older models, giving you longer listening between charges and smoother background noise reduction in everyday settings. Some people find the Liberty 5 a bit better for general use — especially commuting, workouts, or when you want a touch of immersive sound with features like Dolby modes — but it doesn’t completely eclipse what seasoned Liberty 4 owners already enjoy. One feature that is not maintained with this new offering that some could have benefited from was the integrated heat rate sensors with the liberty 4 model. One of the things that stands out with the Liberty 5 is the attention to fit and comfort. These earbuds come with a larger set of ear tip sizes (six options) so you’re more likely to find a seal that feels secure and comfortable, which also helps with noise isolation and sound quality. Poor fit is one of the biggest reasons earbuds don’t perform well, so having more tips in the box can make a real difference if you’ve struggled to find the right size in the past. I often have challenges with certain ear bud designs but have found a consistent quality fit with the Liberty ear buds. I also really enjoy the user experience of Soundcore's mobile app to fine tune settings to maximize the listening experience. They continue to sell quality items at below average prices. So, is it worth upgrading? If you’re perfectly happy with the ANC and fit of your Liberty 4’s, or value features like dual-driver sound or specific controls on the older case, you might not feel a big leap. But if you want slightly better battery life, a more adaptive noise cancellation experience, and better chances of a comfortable, secure fit right out of the box, the Liberty 5 is a solid choice — especially for everyday listening and multi-purpose use. I am happy I took the leap and went to the new model!

Strong refinement of the Soundcore family
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Soundcore Liberty 5 in ear buds are a strong refinement on their predecessors. I have the Liberty 4 buds and have always found them to be top tier in sound and active noise cancellation. I’d say strong in aware (or transparency) mode also, but found a couple of things that didn’t wow me with those. With the Liberty 5s I have noticed improvement on all aspects that matter to me. First, the comfort is great, these I have no issue having in my ears for a long time and remaining comfortable. The set gives you six sizes of tips to find exactly the fit you want and they are silicone but sort of have a grip in my ears without being irritating. The app has been updated for these based on my previous experience and offer you a lot of control on sound and the various modes. Sound is again a really amazing aspect of these and there are many types of equalization that you can do, including tunings by Soundcore, a sound test that will allow you to find your sweet spot, and a fully manual equalizer. I have done the sound test and have used several of the tunings built in and the neutral tuning they ship is very close to my sweet spot. The bass is punchy but not too much, I have no trouble hearing separation of instruments and voices, and the highs are up front but not screechy to me. The ANC is good, and has 10 levels of isolation but I keep it at 10 because when I want ANC I want it maxxed. It is effective but you can hear a little more noise than what I would prefer. With sound it’s gone, but for just isolation it’s not the very top tier. Awareness mode is also good but I find a little too much white noise under the outside sound so it feels a little mechanical. But you are definitely getting clear aware mode with it. Microphone quality is ok. The wind block feature is not as effective to me than what I wanted. Overall I would definitely get these for the sound and as an every day wear but if you are looking for the best ANC, aware, and call quality, I would consider options.

A worthy update to the previous model
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the previous model of this headset and in it's time it was my favorite (until it went through the clothes washer in my pocket). The only downside i ever experienced with the previous version was that the magnetic closure had a reverse to pop open if the case was dropped. This new design alleviates a lot of that. Packaging To start, it's packed plainly. The headset, ear gels and a cable for charging, plus some minor documentation. Use Very straightforward as to be expected. Pair it with your device and it "just works". If you use the soundcore app it allows for content, firmware updates and adjustments to the noise cancelling and other options. The fit of this headset is every bit as good as the previous version and the sound is excellent. I also never have any complaints from people that i call of difficulty hearing me. The case, as I mentioned is an upgrade over the previous version. It has a slide cover which is less prone to popping open when dropped, although the slide cover does feel less "beefy" than the previous version so hopefully it doesn't break from use or drops. Overall It's an excellent and very comfortable headset. I strongly recommend it to anyone in the market for one.

Anker stepping up their game
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With all the hub bub about Airpods or GalaxyBuds these days, pretty hard to ignore the other manufacturers like Bose, Bowers & Wilkins and Anker, putting their mark on the earbud business. Now, while not as flashy as AirPods, DO NOT sleep on these earbuds from Anker. Having used dozens of earbuds from hosts of manufacturers, they are quality earbuds and, like in this case, cheaper than the big brand boys. The big thing with me and earbuds is ANC or active noise cancelling. The quieter you can get it, the better you're able to enjoy your music and your environment. The new AirPods do a fantastic job at this however these are no slouch either. Using these at my medical appointment recently, they block out all those annoying little beeping noises coming from the machines almost to the point where I don't even notice them anymore :) Standard charging with these and batter life is acceptable I think. I usually get around a full day between charges/usage. No issues from my end that the battery will run out before the days over

Good value, not for music snobs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a lower priced option to the buds from the phone makers or a step up from the cheapies you keep buying, this feels like a good choice. I’m a Soundcore user already, I have 2 other headphones from them, but they are the over-ear type. This is my first music earbud from Soundcore, and I’m impressed. Make sure you are ok with using an app to get the most from your earbuds, I tested with iOS, MacOS Tahoe, and Windows 11. It’s a good app, but Anker has fallen into the AI trap, because clearly, more interference and unavoidable interruptions is good for your listening pleasure. First thing, the ANC (noice cancellation) is great. In addition to the isolation offered by earbuds, the ANC is able to maintain good quiet in challenging scenarios. Traffic noise on a busy road nearby is greatly reduced. I did not feel like I was completely isolated from the world, though, some sound does get in, which is good for keeping out of trouble while walking around traffic. There is some background hiss, but that is very minimal. Music and podcasts sound pretty good, after some tweaking with the “Sound Effects” setting in the Soundcore app. We used to call it EQ, but by either name, there are many preset options spanning all of the old familiar EQ presets of old. Many of the EQs are overwrought and rather unpleasant to my ears, but that doesn’t mean one I think sounds terrible won’t be your sweet spot. “Soundcore Signature” feels like what we used to call VERY “v shaped” or “smiley” because our old equalizer sliders would often wind up in a smooth or sharp u shape when we set them up for RIAA tracks from yore. Using the Soundcore Signature EQ, bass is powerful, often overwhelming the other music, boomy and sloppy at times. The mids are recessed, de-emphasizing male vocals, but female vocals are clean. The highest frequencies are pushed way too forward and can become quickly grating. It feels like the buds are shooting for an airy soundstage feel, but it’s artificial and forced. Fit is the main thing I’ve had an issue with. I tried many combinations of ear tips and ran the fit test in the app multiple times until I got a good seal. Once I had the good seal with the medium in the left and XL in the right, they felt quite uncomfortable after about 10 minutes of wear. I grabbed some foam ear tips from some other earbuds I have laying around and the fit is great, the sound is much warmer, the sharpness of the top end is still grating and fatiguing, but it can be adjusted with the Sound Effects in the app. Controls are wonderfully simple, a squeeze of the stem to play/pause, hold it to enable transparency. The controls are right there on the box as you open it. I did not have any accidental triggers of the controls while laying down watching TV or reading. While the Soundcore Liberty 5 is not an audiophile set of earbuds, it is competent in every way it needs to be. I would recommend these.

For the noise cancellation enthusiast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It can be very hard to evaluate high end earbuds these days. Not because there aren't differences between the different brands and models, but because there are very few deal breakers to be found. Once you're willing to invest in a nice pair you can pretty much be guaranteed that any selection you make will at least be good enough. But a few do offer some features and gimmicks that are a bit more esoteric to help them stand out from the pack. And this is one of them. And the feature it focuses on is one that many have come to see almost as an afterthought: active noise cancellation. While most noise cancellation systems only focus on blocking out frequencies that most mechanical droning noises tend to fall in, they take a much more holistic approach that not only cuts out engines and air conditioners but also elevator music and the voices of you around you. It's an approach that doesn't do much for situational awareness, but for those seeking total isolation from everything around them I have yet to come across a competing brand that can match them in that regard, particularly in this form factor. The Liberty 5 Advanced and its newly AI enhanced cancellation system exemplifies this approach, delivering excellent sound while blocking out basically everything in your vicinity. When paired with the Anker app, which offers not only the usual controls for customization but also a rather helpful guided setup to help dial in the equalizer for those who don't really know what they're doing, blocking out the world entirely has never been simpler. And if that that appeals to you, you should probably give some serious thought to checking the Liberty 5's out for yourself.

Excellent product worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They have great sound and battery. I purchased them twice because they were so good and budget friendly. They could be a bit more comfortable in the ear but thats okay for the price
