BAD for Macbook when use as mic input

The sound quality is pretty good for the price ($20). but on Macbook, the sound quality degrade (background noise, static) when used as a mic in a conference call or VOIP or recording. It is hard to listen to the conversation in this mode, though the other parties heard me ok. Workaround is to use Macbook internal mic as the mic input.
