“Suspension of disbelief”. It’s an agreement between viewers and the people who take it upon themselves to entertain us. We all know its fake but put that aside for the short time they’ve asked for our attention. In this latest Jake Gyllenhaal film, that agreement is stretched to its absolute limit and for some, beyond. Gyllenhaal plays army captain Colter Stevens who’s suddenly found himself on a train across from woman who keeps referring to him by another name. Additionally, she’s talking to him as if she knows him. After a relatively short time the train meets with a catastrophe and Stevens is in a confined area staring up at a monitor being asked to explain the events. Still struggling with memory issues, he’s given the assignment, “find the perpetrator”, and returned to the same situation. This series of events occurs several times in a way that would more likely remind many viewers of Vantage Point, assuming there are many people who saw it. That said, it isn’t intent on inspiring a debate on the time traveler’s paradox or parallel universes. It’s a whodunit adrenaline ride made to entertain and it does just that.

I loved everything about this. Ranging from the plot to score, everything was great. The only thing that was ruined for me was the ending. i didn't really like it or felt like it fit in with the movie. So the plot was exceptional and it was done very well. Mixing sci-fi with a human story can be hard, but this did it wonderfully. The was was good. I really enjoyed Jake Gyllenhaal in the leading role and a few of the minor characters. Everyone else was good, nothing really stand out though. I enjoyed the direction the best, which was done by Duncan Jones.

Actually, it's a Sci-Fi Action Thriller, but the Sci-Fi moniker can scare off some folks, and in this case, it should not. It is first and foremost a thriller, and accepting the implausible science that allows for the basic premise, you're hooked from the get go. This is the movie that made me a Jake Gyllenhaal fan.

The movie itself is excellent, but I thought I'd comment more on the 4K UHD Blu-ray specifically. Picture quality in 4K/HDR is amazing. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is immersive during action scenes. Highly recommended!

If you want a change of pace sort of drama movie, this will easily fit the bill. As I have already stated, the plot is entirely different then most movies, but that's what makes this Blu Ray Movie a keeper IMHO!

the movie is a fun scifi ride. Reliving the same period of time over and over to "set things right". worthy of a Quantum Leap or Star Trek episode.

This was a good movie. The plot is simple, go back in time and stop the bomb. Its far fetched but a good watch. Gyllenhaal is becoming a great actor.

Not the best movie in the world but if you like a good movie that will get you thinking than I would recommend this movie.

Yes, it is action packed. Although, it is much more than that. Superb acting across the board. Dazzling 1080p PQ.

Any film that holds my attention for the length of the movie and defies predictablity is good.

This movie was so horrible, I cannot express how terribly sad I am for being let down by such a great actor like Jake Gyllenhaal. This movie is such a snooze fest. One giant boring, repeating nightmare. Don't buy it! Borrow it from your local library for FREE if you must see it.
