This movie is an absolute classic and is more quotable than ever with the resurgence in all the new star wars' movies. The Blu ray has many great behind the scene interviews as well which I had never seen before. Plus, you can't beat all of this for 5 dollars. I highly recommend buying the physical version over digital since this is one of those movies if you buy it on Itunes it won't appear on other streaming platforms like movies anywhere. Which was a main reason i purchased this blu ray.

Got this out of curiosity because it was taking an irreverent poke at Star Wars. Not as good as Blazing Saddles, but it has a few good visual jokes. But, overall it was just OK. Not for hardcore Star War fans, and not the best of Mel Brooks.

Ahh, what can I say about Mel Brooks and the good old days before excessive and stifling political correctness ? Spaceballs is a silly spoof of Star Wars and doesn't pretend to be anything but that. Add some silliness back into your life if you've never seen it. And then go get Blazing Saddles, History of the World Part 1, Young Frankenstein and other Mel Brooks movies and put your righteous indignation aside and just laugh. He's an equal opportunity offender.

This is one of my favorite movies. There is a bit of language, so don't watch with young children. However, overall this movie is what spoofs should be. It pokes fun at sci-fi tropes and makes fun of most of those things that are intrinsic to the movies it pokes fun at. It does this without resorting to low brow or potty humor, although there are some jokes that blur the line. Again, don't watch with young children because of the language.

What can I say? The movie is a classic comedy and always will be. The picture quality on both the 4K and Blu-Ray is phenomenal. You really notice a lot more fine details on this release over previous ones. Highly recommended for any fan of the film that wants the superior visual experience. May the Schwartz be with you!!!

I love Mel Brooks. Always have, Always will. Spaceballs is on the lower end of the spectrum as far as my favorites of his go. That being said, I jumped at the chance to own the UHD. It really is the best this movie has ever looked, and if you want to see and hear this movie in all of it's goofy glory, just buy it!

Alright, if you are not hip to Mel Brooks' style of comedy, get...your...stuff...TOGETHER! This is probably the greatest of his movies and an absolute Masterpiece! The 4K restoration was very well taken care of and it really shows. If you enjoy this brand of silly comedy, this UHD release is definitely for you!

What a treat to finally have Spaceballs The Blu-ray. It's great to see this again, especially in HD and lossless audio, I laughed all the way through, just like I remember. I remember when the laserdisc came out, they actually called it "Spaceballs The Laserdisc" but that was the last time they kept the theme going, the DVD didn't say "The DVD" and the Blu-ray doesn't say "The Blu-ray" but I wish they did, otherwise it's a great purchase. :o)

Another Comedy Classic

Mel Brooks' early films were all classics. And when he ventured into the sci0fi genre with SpaceBalls he hit all the marks. From the digs on merchandising, the over sized ego helmet of Dark Helmet and John Candy as Barf, he adds another great comedic staple to his roster. This movie still holds up today and the updated version in Blu-Ray and new bonus features makes i worth watching over and over. While introducing it to a new generation on youth.

Absolutely a fun comedy by a legend him self.
Mell Brooks. Interesting how they spooofed on everything and the Star Wars saga with absolute respect yet in a funny way. I enjoyed it. My favorite part was in the desert. The ridiculously large column combing the surface of the desert. That was a clever joke.

You'll never stop laughing with this movie. Mel Brooks is a true comedic genius, and he doesn't disappoint in this Star Wars spin off! You'll be laughing until you cry! Follow the adventures of Captain Lone Star and his trusty sidekick Barfolomew (Barf for short) as they battle the evil Dark Helmet and try to rescue the beautiful princess, Vespa. Action, drama, and most of all, comedy are the highlights of this wonderous movie! A must have for all collections!

This is another crazy Mel Brooks film. Spaceballs was a Hilarious rip off of Star Wars. Mel Brooks was the emperor..Bill pullman was a Han Solo figure..John Candy was Barf. The chewbacca figure..also Mel Brooks was yogurt.. the yoda figure.. And Rick as Dark Helmet.. the darth Vader figure.
I really enjoyed and recommend it
