I can't believe I found this at Best Buy in the $5 bin. My wife and kids had never seen it, so that was all it took for me to pick it up. Not much more than the price of renting (if you could find it anywhere to rent), we rushed home and immediately watched it. I forgot how funny John Candy and Rick Moranis were in this classic!

I love this movie! This was one of Mel's best shows, and I've seen nearly all of his stuff.
Those of you who know Brooks-"Lord Dark Helmet" in tone and schtick is a 're-invention' of Ron Rifkin's "Prince John" in "When Things were Rotten". It was as if Brooks told Rick Moranis, "Remember how Rifkin did Prince John? That's what I want. Do that."
Daphne Zuniga was spot on, and gorgeous. John Candy was perfect.
All in all, a great show.

This is the best this movie has looked and sounded. Did I need it in 4k when I had it in DVD and bluray already? No. Did I buy it anyway? Yes. Should you? Collectors? Yes. Don't own it already? Yes. Already own it on DVD or bluray... maybe, your mileage may vary. I am happy with the buy.

Although its comically referred to as the 28th anniversary edition the disc itself isn't different as the 25th anniversary edition. But the collectability of this item is breathtaking. The artwork is so crisp!! The art cards you get are amazing as well, but what puts it over the top... The bumper stickers!!! I'm considering getting another just to use the bumper stickers. Overall great buy for 10$

The ultimate spoof of space movies! Perfect scripting, directing and acting keep the laughs coming. (You may wish to keep a supply of suture on hand to sew yourself back up after splitting your sides!) Crystal clear picture and sound also help to make this film super-enjoyable. A lot of special features are included to take you behind the scenes, and deepen your appreciation for this landmark film.

This film is one of my favorite movies growing up. I love all of Mel Brooks' films (Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Dracula: Dead and Loving It, etc), but this one is my most watched. The acting is great, the dialogue memorable, and the nods to other sci-fi movies such as Star Wars are spot-on. I'll enjoy the chance to watch this movie for years to come!

This is a great parody to Star Wars. It is hilarious and full of slapstick humor. Mel Brooks did an outstanding job in this movie especially casting Rick Moranis. One of the most hilarious and our most favorite part is when Rick Moranis asks to go to Lightspeed. This movie will always be one of our family’s favorite.

I wouldn't consider this one of Mel Brooks best but there are some funny gags and laughs at the expense of George Lucas. Blu-ray transfer is well done.

This was a gift from my daughter. This has always been one of my favorite movies and when we first watched together it made the movie that much more awesome! Now it one of her favorite movies as well. The metal box it comes is pretty nice and the stickers it comes with are hilarious. I just wish it had the "We ain't found s#!+" Overall very happy with this

A required movie to watch if you like comedies. Way too much humor to list even in a long review. It inspired Tesla Motors to adopt the phrase “ludicrous" mode for a speed setting with it's cars. If you don't know what that means, watch the movie! After you stop laughing, it will make sense. This movie is a comedy classic!

This is an excellent comedic parody of not only Star Wars, but also Aliens,Planet of the Apes and even the Wizard of Oz.. The cast is top notch and many are no longer with us. John Candy as Barf and Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet are my two favorites. Even George Lucas likes it, Rated PG, it is excellent family entertainment.

Spaceballs is a ton of great laughs and holds up with not just the parody of Star Wars but for the parody of people. It's writing done right. It won't be like a "Epic Movie" or "Haunted House 2" movie where the joke relies too much on what is current right now. Comedy should be timeless and relying on current trends won't make a film last.

Great movie. I love Mel Brooks movies and this one doesnt disappoint its funny. Also the 4k disc looks rally good. They did a good job converting it from the old 80s film.

I've seen this movie in the past and it was laugh riot then. I might just be one of those with an ultra sense of humor, but the movie is funny for the sillyness of it all. The acting is what makes it funny and I'm not sure if it counts as good or bad, but it added positively to the movie.I also got it for $1.99. Cant beat that. Some good laughs indeed.

Whenever a friend recommend an old movie saying how funny or how great the film is, I always approach it with doubts. Not this one though! I was actually watching this one by myself and found myself laughing out loud multiple times. Rick Moranis, Mel Brooks are just funny and they play to the parts. Highly recommended!

A Mel Brooks comedy at its most outrageous best. This time the director, actor, comedian takes on the space cowboy genre with extreme tongue in cheek. The evil empire wants more fresh air for themselves and almost succeeds in stealing it from the good guys. Guess who wins! Puns galore!!

Planet Spaceball's President Skroob sends Lord Dark Helmet to steal Planet Druidia's abundant supply of air to replenish their own, and only Lone Starr can stop them.
The movie has great Actors such as Mel Brooks, John Candy, Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga, Dick Van Patten, Michael Winslow, and Joan Rivers just to name a few!

The fact that I can quote almost the entire movie might be a little sad. However, this movie will make you laugh over and over again. I love the bumper stickers included with this version. And it comes with post card sized photos from the set. Great addition to your collection, even if you already have the DVD version.

I owned a regular DVD version of Spaceballs, and wondered if an upgrade to Bluray would improve the picture quality. It does. I have a rule of thumb about whether I want to upgrade to Bluray. Does the movie contain big special effects, scenery, outer space star field scenes, etc. Since this is a space movie, it qualifies under my rule of thumb, and it is worth the upgrade, especially for the low sale price I paid for it.
You notice I didn't review the movie itself. No need-it is one of the funniest movies you can get!

I will admit some of the scenes looks a little shotty. That being said when it pops it pops. So glad to add this 4k to the collection. Here’s to hoping they’ll releases more Mel Brooks to 4K.
