While not on the order of Game of Thrones, Spartacus is a nice escape and draws you into the storyline.

This particular show isn't my thing but the person that I gifted it to thinks that it is awesome.

I have to say that even though it is a slow start, by the third episode you're hooked.

Not a good tv show for kids lot of blood and violence. But good entertainment for adults.

New to this series. Was told that it is good, and so far it has lived up to expectations.

We really enjoyed the realistic gladiator fights & was a great movie series!

Great movie/easy purchase! I only wish that I could have found it on blue-ray.

Fun show but the 300 style cinematography gets tiring as does the clunky dialogue.

I gave this as a Christmas gift to a friend's teenage son. The kid loved the blood and guts. Parents didn't.

This is the best, short lived series that was on television. The first season is all about redemption, and the gladiatorial arena. Andy Whitfield shines as Spartacus, who starts off as a regular man, thrown into the Roman legion, then cast off as a slave. The action is VERY intense, gritty, and very gruesome. The first few episodes you can tell look like CGI but it gets better each episode. The story and plot keep you on the edge of your seat, who betrays who, who dies next? Sadly, Whitfield died shortly after completing the first season so the next two seasons are Liam McIntyre, who does a great job, but it just isnt the same. That being said, this show still has the best action sequences, love stories, comedy, and plot I have ever seen. Also the Bluray/DVD extras are not lacking, it is definitely worth a buy.
