Action packed all the way. Lucy lawless xena warrior princess is in this series also along with many other familiar faces.

Only disappointment is the cover picture shows that it comes with digital codes and it does not contain digital codes. The set I picked up in the store is not the same cover picture as the one shown on the website.

This series' 4 seasons originally aired on Starz and was produced by Sam Rami, Robert Tapert and some others. The first season featured Andy Whitfield as the title character. Andy did a great job with the role. Andy got sick and they halted production on a second season so he could get treated. They produced a prequel season while Andy was being treated. Unfortunately Andy didn't get better... They recast the roll and Liam McIntyre took over the title roll for the final two seasons. Liam also did a great job with the role. The show is about gladiators rebelling against the Roman Empire... It should be no surprise is violent. What makes the show great is the characters. You care what happens to them. You cheer when they win and you feel it when they don't...

Hands down the best violent graphic novel meets T&A overload ever produced. If you are into the genre, this is pure entertainment delivered along a well thought out storyline. Everything is well done, The fight choreography is top notch, the visuals of the locations perfect, and the "talent" of both sexes, impeccable. There's no deep meaning of life stuff here, yawn, just fantastic, action oriented entertainment that does not get you bogged down in another lame PC storyline. If this was ever on the snoozefest known as the Hallmark channel it would be edited to the point that after the credits you'd see a blank screen, perfect!

Excellent and complete television series based on part of the history. Excellent filming, acting, location. Everything is perfect in this series. I recommend it.

All the bloody carnage, political intrigue, and filthy you would want in a show. Its not for the faint of heart due to lots of blood and sex. So if thats not your thing might want to skip this one.

This is a great action adventure drama similar to HBO's Rome -- only it has copious amounts of nudity, sex and over-the-top violence. With all this it's easy to overlook the great script and (for the most part) acting. Good purchase if one isn't uncomfortable with the extreme amounts of the aforementioned violence and nudity.

Great acting and the story lines are full of intrigue and surprises. Definitely "grown-ups behaving badly" but so fun to watch. This is for adults only, due to nudity, sexual content and violence, but I highly recommend.

Spartacus the Complete Series portrays the brutality of the life of gladiators in the time of Roman Empire. The show has mature themes (blood, gore, violence, graphic displays of sexuality) and I would not recommend it for young people. There are 4 seasons of the show. The first season sets the stage for the next three seasons. Season 2 is a prequel to the events of Season 1, and seasons 3 and 4 are the continuation of the story of Season 1. The actor who played Spartacus in the first season, actually got cancer in real life and died and they had to obtain a new actor to play the lead role, for seasons 3 and 4. Season 2 takes place before Spartacus shows up in the story. The shows plotlines are very intriguing and the action and fighting scenes are amazingly shot. This show is one of the most entertaining and memorable TV shows I have ever seen. Each episode is almost more like watching a movie, in terms of production quality.

Its a great collection for the price but it does notnhave digital copies but for the price its great. It really is a best buy because if you got the collection individually then it would be more expensive.

So many plot twist, character story building in the first 2 seasons . Roughly follows Spartucs revolution to the walls of Rome. Not for younger eyes. Very graphic violence and sexuality but needed.

I watched this series when it first aired in 2010 and since then technology has improved on several levels! Tech that makes it possible to view and hear this graphic novel with amazing clarity and fidelity!

If your a gladiator fan, this is a must especially if you liked the first season

excellent quality, outstanding series. I had to buy this while it was on sale. I am a big fan of Spartacus when it was on TV. Now i look at in better quality. And with family that hasnt seen it.

It was really good. Its more grainy than i remember could be because i use a 4k tv and was using an xbox one x as the player so i know that affects the upscaling but idk how much. But would buy since the collection is kinda cheaply made but its made in a book style to compensate so its actually pretty cool. For the price its a definite cop

Visually this is much in the style of 300, but it's a great story of full of violence, gore, sex and intrigue. Not for everyone, but it's a well-done series I fully enjoyed.

Great series if you like adult action. Not for the faint hearted but you will never watch Zena warrior princess the same way again. Roman gladiator action at its best.
