    The cover case works for well protection but is heavy. I read most of the time from Kindle Books and find this cover difficult to handle for reading in bed and supporting to allow for the headphone plug not to be pinched. If you are using this case primarily for transporting the pad you will be happy with the durability but overall the case gets in my way for how I use my 10.2 iPad.

    This Speck - Balance Folio Case is a good basic case for the Apple iPad to protect it from everyday bumps. Got it as a gift for our mom, and she liked the color and ability to "stand the case up" for easy viewing. It is quite a bit heavier than I expected, but she didn't seem to mind.

    Grandma loves it. She just got her first iPad and was concerned about protecting it. This iPad never leaves the house, so the speck was adequate for our needs.

    Fits the case and is nice and sturdy so it won't fall over even after a year of heavy usage. The inside can get dirty and be a little hard to clean.
