When I purchased this there were no reviews which made me a bit hesitant. It fits my new iPad perfectly and I like the clear backing. The case allows for orienting the iPad in two positions. The pencil holder on the front is an added bonus. When closed the iPad turns off. I ordered the case in blue and it is attractive. So far so good!

The variable grooves in the inside of the case for holding up the iPad horizontally are perfect for viewing on a table or in bed. It also is not too thick and cumbersome when holding the iPad vertically. The only thing that is a con is that the locking mechanism is a bit stiff at first but has not been a problem for me.

I bought this as a gift. If this was for me, I would’ve kept it! Speck is still by far one of my favorite brands! The price was amazing, cheaper than a cell phone case, lol! This is not a miss, this just wasn’t what I envisioned for the person I bought it for! Still cute and very protective! I still would refer this!

Get something nicer

Over time it kind of comes apart and does not work as well. Also the screen folio protector can become annoying sometimes. There is not much adjustability for the stand portion of the case as far as what angle you want to put it at. I went back and bought an Otterbox defender case and I think it will work so much better. Spend a little more money to get something nicer.
