It is really hard to get it out of the shell in order to use IPad keyboard. I would not have bought this if I had seen it in person. Definitely protective, however.

I love the fact that the cover will hold up the iPad while I read! I also like the snap on the cover to keep it securely closed when not in use.

I purchased a new ipad that was larger than my current case. Since I had such great luck with the previous Speck, I decided to purchase another. This case was awful and I returned it the next day. The place area for the ipad with paper thin and it did not have the felt liner like my other one had. The fastener for the case seemed flimy also and would snap off after a couple of usages.
