It was heavy i know to protect ipad but was cumbersome. I got a much lighter cover, I risk damage if I drop but I feel like using my ipad and in the end that is the main goal.

This simply does not work. Closing the case does not put my brand new iPad 10th generation to sleep. You need to press the lock button on the iPad and then close the case. Additionally, opening the case does not auto-wake the iPad - as it's supposed to as stated in the product description. The build quality is excellent. It feels like a durable case that will withstand heavy usage over several years, but because it doesn't auto wake/sleep (which has been industry standard on iPad cases,) I can not recommend it for purchase.
