protects my device, it holds the ipad up when needed and it locks in place when closed. Downside, when holding up the Ipad, there are grooves that the edge sits on. The grooves could be deeper so that there is no slippage, but for its price, it's fine

Unfortunately with the new iPad 12.9in the form factor is the same as the 2018 model with the exception of the camera, so that means not many case options are available at this time, this includes limited styles and colors. I bought this case since I trust that Speck makes quality products. What sets this case apart from pretty much all other cases on the market right now is that it has space to accommodate the Apple Pencil without requiring you to put in a designated slot. The plus here is that you can put a case on your Apple Pencil and keep it on the iPad while it’s charging and store it in this case with no problem. One of the things I’ve noticed is that if have a case on your Apple Pencil and store it in the case, the case will be slightly uneven where the Apple Pencil is, which is behind the snap closure. It’s not horrible and I much prefer that the case be snug to protect the iPad itself, so this is fine, just something to note. The good thing is, is that the snap closure is attached to the case using a stretchy material, which makes having a case on the Apple Pencil doable. Another issue I have is that when I try to fold the case the same way as it’s shown when in the typing position, the folds in the picture don’t match up with the actual product. So to get the folio in the typing position is precarious. The lining of the case is very nice and smooth, so it provides nice protection against the screen. However, because the notches in this case are also lined, the iPad is more likely to slip out of position if it’s not being used on a flat service. Overall, I would say the quality is there, and this case is definitelt worth getting first time out, it’s just not where I’d want it to be for a case that retails for $40 on average.

It is light. iPad fits nicely inside. The only thing that I am not pleased with is the closure. It is hard to snap shut if it is not positioned correctly and it pops open.

This does the job! Even cradles the Apple Pencil. I bought this to protect my new iPad but I didn’t want to spend $100 on a cover. It’s no frills and I found it on sale for $20. So I think I came out ahead!

Needed a somewhat inexpensive (compared to Apple prices) case. Got this one for $30 on sale Little heavier, but great build. Fold down cover for the rear camera is nice detail

This Speck folio case for the iPad Pro 12.9" works very well. It doesn't have the refinement and integrated magnets that you get from Apple brand covers/cases, but this does a good job for a fraction of the cost. The plastic clasp holds things together when opened or closed and the design for propping up the stand works well. I think I'll eventually spring for an Apple Magic Keyboard or put it on my X-mas wish list, but this Speck will take very good care of things in the meantime :-)

One wonders what the iPad Pro opines about this case. Hmmm.....’’comfy can be an epithet for starters’’ muses one. ‘’Snug is how I would feel’’ describes another iPad Pro. Yet, all said and done this case can be closed and opened at a behest. In short, the case about this case is closed with the statement ‘’ a fascinating fit’’ as uttered by this iPad Pro. Let’s endorse that view, shall we?

Soft hidden opening for camera. Professional for work or protection hiking. It was the second one I bought the other had the Apple logo and camera cut out. Looked cool in the pic but was hard as a rock and gave no protection for camera.

This iPad case can fit the old and new version of the iPad 12.9. I have the old 2018 iPad 12.9 and it fits in the case perfectly. I do plan to upgrade my iPad soon to the newer 12.9 and I'm glad I don't have to shop for a new case (unless this one gets damaged). The case, itself, is heavy duty, soft on the outside. You can fold the cover various ways to use as an iPad stand. The iPad does go to sleep once you close the cover. So far, I like it. I must say I only got this case because it was the cheapest one at Best Buy. They did not have many options.

It fits the iPad good but after a few months of use the iPad keeps getting out of the cover, it has become loose. It does protect the iPad and it looks good.

The lightness of the iPad goes away as soon as you attach the cover. It does protect it perfectly so far. Worth what I paid for it.
