It folds back easily behind the iPad, like a book. If on the table or on your lap it can also be set in a tripod. Works well

I love that it closes and stays closed until I open it. If it lasts like my old one, it’s great for ten years.

Sturdy and Functional

As Apple no longer makes the *Smart Case* (covered the entire iPad), she had been searching on Amazon for iPad cases. Not sure which one to get, she asked me to pick one up for her. i drove to the nearest Best Buy and found this case. My mother-in-law absolutely loves the case and has thanked me repeatedly. She tends to read a lot and the case allows for 3 reading/watching angles. The case itself is light but sturdy, and provides whole body protection. Highly recommend it.

It is very sturdy and has a positive closure that secures the two sides vs just closing like a book. Has saved my ipad more than once from damage

Good as folio, not as stand

But that I wonder, what is the need for the whole origami folds because it does not do the job of a stand. Oh well, so far so good - it's light and does the job.
