GrabTab+Protective Case = Failed Wireless Charging
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GrabTab's low profile gave me high hopes that it would not prevent wireless charging when installed on a phone's protective case, however, I was disappointed. In fact, Speck even states that the GrabTab is compatible with most brands and cases and that it allows for wireless charging, but we found that to not be true...at least in our scenarios. Successful wireless charging through a protective phone case is far more important to us than using a GrabTab. So basically, the Speck GrabTab was a bust for our family. I tried the Speck GrabTab on a Speck case on a Samsung Galaxy S7 placed on a Samsung EP-NG930 Wireless Charger and the phone could not connect to charger. Same thing happened with a Samsung EP-PG950 Wireless Charger with me trying the phone in both the vertical and horizontal positions. Then I tried the Speck GrabTab on an OtterBox case on a Samsung Galaxy S8 placed on the Samsung EP-NG930 Wireless Charger and the phone could not connect to charger. Same thing happened with the Samsung EP-PG950 Wireless Charger with me trying the phone in both the vertical and horizontal positions. So I removed the phones from their protective cases and found that both phones would connect to both wireless chargers through just the thickness of the GrabTab. So it does allow wireless charging, just not through our protective cases (with one even being a Speck brand case). The GrabTab does seem to work well as an aid to safely and securely holding the phone. Possibly even better that the Popsocket-style holders which can cause finger aching after prolonged use. And the GrabTab definitely enters and exits a pocket easier than the Popsocket-style holders. In summary, I can only recommend the Speck GrabTab to those who use a protective phone case and don't mind plugging their phone in to recharge or to those who don't use a protective case on their smartphone at all.

Good Item But Doesn't Offer Everything Others Do
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do like this item but I have tried other items like this and this one does not offer everything that others do. First, the good things. The glue connected this item to my phone easily and I never had a problem with it coming undone. Wireless charging still works even with this item attached to my phone. The GrabTab feels comfortable when I am holding it and I don't feel like it will suddenly slip. Now the negative things. With other items like this, you can rotate it but this is just stuck in one position. I also found that after I used the GrabTab the first time the GrabTab itself never laid flat again. This isn't a horrible thing but it is annoying. My phone just doesn't sit quite right when I am charging it on a regular charger and it is a little odd on my wireless charger. Also, other items like this offer the ability to connect it to your car somehow. Either through a car vent or through magnetics. While this may not be a dealbreaker for some people, I would prefer that it could connect to my car somehow for hands-free access. Overall, it is a good product but it just doesn't offer everything that others like it offer and the fact that the GrabTab kickstand can never be put back into the exact position it was in before the first time used is annoying.

Not For Everyone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS . Slim profile . Horizontal or vertical use as a kickstand . Can secure the phone to prevent falls . Simple design CONS . May prevent some wireless charges from working . Adhesive is not reusable. . Not recommended to attach directly to your phone There are a few things to like but even more not to like about the Speck GrabTab Finger Grip/Kiskstand. The sleek design is probably the best feature. It does not make your phone bulky but it is best to use glued to a case, not directly to the phone. Once the adhesive is used, it cannot be used again because it is very strong, which is a good thing but it is also the reason why my recommendation is not to glue it to your phone. It did secure my phone when I was on a call. That was a good feeling. It also worked well to watch videos in portrait and landscape mode but the honeymoon ended there. The case I use is very thin but wireless charging worked with only one of my three chargers, and poorly so. It did not work with the wireless charger in my car either. To charge it, I had to remove the case. I would only recommend this if you did not have a phone that charged wireless and you were sure that you were ok with throwing it away when your phone case was no longer useful.

Works great!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Essentially this is a plastic device that has adhesive that makes it stick to the back of a phone. This allows the user to have a more secure hold on their phone. It also allows for the phone to be propped up hands free for viewing on a flat service. It has a center sliding piece that creates a loop for holding/propping. This is slightly more convenient because it fits more slim to the back of your phone than similar products do. It gets the job done if that's what your looking for!

A little flimsy but good try
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a nice try at the pop socket craze but just ain't it. I like that it's thin, but after that it's just okay. The sliding strap loop for me hasn't held up well. It moves a little too easily now so using it as a kickstand is not as great. I just went back to my Spigen Slim Armor case since it has a kickstand and offers protection. Hard to recommend since Pop Sockets are profitable and sorta better

Better than Popsocket!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GrabTab sticks to the back of your phone and works as a grip and a stand. It has a sliding loop than can be adjusted to your finger size which makes it is much more comfortable than a Popsocket in my opinion. I have never dropped my phone using the GrabTab which I can't say the same about a Popsocket. I have been using it for a few months and it is still adheared to my phone completely. I would recommend for comfort and durability.

Makes your cell phone easier to handle.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Speck GrabTap Finger Grip Kickstand makes your cell phone easier to handle throughout the day. No more laying it flat on the table, desk or nightstand out of site and useless. This device makes your phone ready and available as well as more useful. It is sold in a simple convenient packaging and makes good use of the space, easy to open and get out. It doesn’t come with detailed instructions because it’s not needed. The illustrations on the boxing is extremely clear. It has a sturdy stand which allows you to stand it up for hands free video viewing/conferences and when you’re working out or just walking and moving around, the finger grip helps you hold on to your phone with ease making you feel more secure and less frightened about accidentally dropping your phone and damaging it. It’s nice and sleek so it doesn’t add much bulk to your phone case. It’s also thin and is made of material that does not interfere with wireless charging so you can leave your case on when you have your Speck GrabTab and still wirelessly charge your phone. It has a nice smooth flat black finish that isn’t flashy which still allows your phone to still be the focal point. It looks well made, durable and designed to last a long time. However, nothing is perfect. Although detailed instructions aren’t necessary it would have be nice for a quick start guide as I was unable to identify which was the top or bottom. I also didn’t like how permanent this graptab is. It’s a little too permanent for me as you glue it to a case and it stays on indefinitely. I was there was a better way for this to be used as I have multiple cases and would like to be able to use it whenever I have my phone and not which just one case. Although it’s great that it allows for standing, but it’s only for landscape mode, I would like to be able to stand my phone vertically as well. I also believe it’s a tab but overpriced for a one case use device. In closing, overall the Speck GrapTab is useful and practical and I hope to get a lot of use out of it as I use my phone about 80% of the day.

Very Useful, but a tad flimsy, Good Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a cell phone minimalist. Although I am not brave enough to go completely case free (I like very thin cases for my phones) I don't like a lot of bulk. I always thought the rings on the backs of some peoples phones as dumb, useless, and worse, bulky. But after using my wife's I found them to be useful. They are an easy to hold your phone without fear of dropping it (particularly for the large phones) and they also act as a stand (should you want to.) Another issue with the ring is that it takes away wireless charging. Which for me, is an absolute dealbreaker, I leave wireless charging pucks throughout my house. In comes Speck. This is an ingenious little grip/kickstand that acts like a ring (when engaged) and allows for wireless charging. Set up is simple, you just attach the adhesive to your case or I guess phone. But caution, for best results I recommend a smooth backing. I haven't tried to take the entire thing off and put it back on (to see how many times you could change phones/cases, etc.) but I wouldn't expect it to hold up long in those conditions. Luckily, I don't think too many people will have that issue. Plus we're not talking about an expensive accessory. It remains pretty slim, although adding anything to an already thin phone and case will give it the appearance of adding some bulk. But I didn't find it too offensive in that regard. It still fits in my pockets and bags just fine with it. My only concern is the long term durability of the "ring". You have to slide it up each time you want to use it, and while it works just fine, I don't see it holding up for a long time (and I think it can easily be damaged). But again, this baby is pretty cheap, so I wouldn't let that you slow you down. If you have a wireless charging larger phone, and you want to provide yourself with some extra security while holding it, this Speck finger grip fits the bill.

Direct competitor of pop socket
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit skeptical while getting this product since I own an iPhone XS with an otterbox case and was worried if it would affect the wireless charging capability but I was wrong. It hasn't affected it. I have tried several other similar products but so far this has been the best of all, not just in terms of not hindering the wireless charging but in overall usage as well. Pros: 1) Slim: Its very slim and like mentioned above, it has no affect on wireless charging capability of your phone, unless you have a really thick case, which "may" be an issue but I can't comment on that without experimenting it. I have otterbox symmetry case and it has been good 2) Kickstand: It not only lets you hold your phone securely but also acts a kickstand. So you can place your phone on the table with its support 3) Strong adhesive: It has a strong adhesive that will stick to your case but you have to be mindful while sticking it to the back of your phone/case 4) Not expensive: It's not very costly and is easily affordable Cons: 1) Flimsy: It's not very sturdy and can easily break if not used properly 2) Not for landscape mode: If you need to hold your phone in landscape mode, its as useless as it can get. You will need to close it if you want to avoid the awkwardness So far, it has been a good product and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

A Unique Grip Compared to the Usual Suspects
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: -Slim, sleek profile (1/8 inch thick compared to socket ones that are 1/4 inch thick). Looks like a card holder at first glance. -Works well as a kickstand when the loop is fully extended and locked (the angle is much more pronounced when phone is in landscape mode compared to portrait mode) -Works well as a finger grip when holding the phone in portrait or landscape mode. You can customize the size of the loop based on your finger size/width for a snug fit and grip. -Can be used on pretty much any phone and case (I installed mine on a case that has golf ball-style dimples on it and it works fine) -Easy to install, just peel and stick -Adhesive appears to be pretty strong. -Allows for wireless charging to still work (did not test this as I do not have a wireless charging pad) Cons: -Adhesive does not appear to allow for removal and reapplication. Meaning if you want to change cases or change the location of where it is applied, you can’t remove it without ruining the adhesive. Once you install it, it is there for life. So try to figure out where exactly on the back of your phone/case (top, middle, bottom) you want to install it before peeling and sticking it on there. -With socket style grips/stands, you can attach it to your car dash for example by using a separately purchased mount or clip. There are no accessories with this product that would allow you to do that.

Fun
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first received this unit for testing, I thought I would just use it for a trial period and then figure out how to remove it. Since affixing it to the back of my phone, I find it useful and convenience. With the major competition so widely popular, this is a great Adult alternative. Speaking of trying to remove... good luck this thing is on there!

Low profile pop socket replacement
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty flat alternative to the bulgy pop sockets that are out there. Serves the purpose of holding the phone up while watching video’s and gives something to grip the phone with also. Goes flat when not needed. Would like more colors as mine was plain black. Also depending on the case it needs a pretty flat area to stick to.

Really comes handy...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit skeptical at how something like this could work, but it really comes handy. It makes gripping the phone much easier. Just stick it on to the back of your phone and you’re all set to go. As far as a phone stand goes, it comes a bit short to make it fully enjoyable, but it works. For the price, I would recommend it.

Non-removable, but does what it is supposed to do.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't say how this works as a stand for a phone, since I used this on a large 10" tablet. It makes handling the tablet much easier with one hand. It's not like a pop-socket and once the adhesive is applied, that's it, it's stuck on and can't be reused. Does what I needed it to do with a larger sized tablet.
