I only used this finger grip/kickstand for a few months before the plastic was warped on the back and it just stopped holding up all together. While it worked, it was great, but there definitely wasn't any longevity to this product.

The slider in the middle fell apart after about 30 days. The plastic is a bit sharp so it wasn’t comfortable on my finger. Not the best purchase. Design needs improvements to really make an impact on the market.

Review for Speck - GrabTab Finger Grip/Kickstand for Mobile Phones - Black This little attachment is so great, whether you have a larger phone that's hard to hang on to, or your grip just isn’t what it use to be. The finger grip feature gives you security when holding the phone while being active. The opening is large enough for almost any finger. I don’t prop my phone up much, but the kickstand feature works well if you do. I took away one star because the finger grip can be hard to slide into place.

The item only lasted a few days before the tab broke. Not worth buying. Usually Speck brand items are decent. Even though the item was less than $10 I expected it to last longer than 2 days.

I am not a fan of the popsocket/rings on the back of the phones because the limit a lot with your phone. Ex. Wireless charging, putting it on a dock in the car and they are not very sturdy. I was excited to use this one because first off the ability to still use wireless charging. It’s a speck product and I love their cases. I don’t like the slide feature to hold it, after a couple of slides it doesn’t go back completely flat. Also most people are like things that make your experience fast when using a mobile device or accessories. I feel like the slide function is not all that smooth I found myself really having to turn the phone over to slide it to get to work, not a one handed function. I also don’t like the position of it, no matter how you do it the slide has to be all the way up to hold the phone and use a stand. Again not very convenient for on the go functionality. The stand does work, I didn’t come across it falling over. And my last thing is, for a female even though they have nice colors I don’t want to see a block so big on the back of my phone or case, I think if it was smaller and you could adjust the slide it would be a way better accessory.

This will not work with the otterbox commuter and a qi charger. Despite the notice that it "works with all cases" it does not. Seems like the device might be handy, but not if you can't charge the phone...

This is probably the most flimsy thing I've ever bought. It was pretty much a complete waste of my time. the bottom part of the clip came unfastened from the rest of it so it was useless.

It took about a week and a half for the adhesive to fail. It appears adhesive is not made to withstand much any environmental factors other than gravity.

Great little device to use in lieu of a “pop-socket”! Doesn’t hold up to repeated use however. It had unglued and became useless in a matter of months.

Disclaimer, despite my negative sounding header, I'm actually using this on my phone now. I used to use a Popsocket, as with the continued increase in phone size by all makers, it's becoming extremely inconvenient to use phones one handed. The one drawback to the Popsocket was that the bulk, even when collapsed, interfered with the phone sitting stably in my car mount. The Speck folds down completely flat, so the bulk is minimal. Which I thought would fix all my problems. My main issue with the Speck is that when open/deployed, the loop it creates is a little too large to fit snugly on my finger. Therefore I still have to adjust my grip to get the perfect balance of grip and non-hand-cramping strain. It's still lightyears better than trying to text onehanded without it, and the fact that it can fit into my car mount makes up for the non-ideal finger loop.

It was a good idea being the flat surface but once it is used one time it doesn’t flatten back out and doesn’t work with phone holders in a car.

This accessory allows you to securely grip your phone for one handed selfies, texting and multitasking. It can also be used as a stand for video watching and chatting. Can be used for wireless charging too. Makes a great gift IMO.

The grip is very easy to install and it does help maintain a stable grip of your expensive phone. The grip still allows for wireless QI charging and the adhesive is very strong. I have yet to have any mishaps with the help of this grip. The only downside is the quality seems a little on the cheap side but it's so inexpensive that it's not a deal breaker.

I have a thin Speck case that I really like already but it doesn't have a kickstand. I saw this and though it would be a good way to effectively add kickstand functionality without adding significantly to the overall thickness. In this regard it works and it works really well. It's a unique take on the kickstand idea that I think adds a more organic looking and mechanically simpler device that can also be used to add grip when holding the phone at awkward angles at times. I experienced two main caveats though which may or may not matter to you depending on your own usage patterns. First is that the curved portion tends to not go back completely flat immediately after use. For some this seems to be a major detractor but for me I found that simply putting the phone on its back for a few minutes created enough persistent pressure to get the GrabTab to effectively go completely flat. How much of an issue this is probably depends on how you set your phone down. If you're the type to set your phone down on it's face most of the time then, yeah, you might not like how the GrabTab doesn't sit completely flat right after use. If you're the type that most often sets your phone down on its back so that you can still see the display then I don't see this being any issue at all because doing that will effectively flatten the GrabTab anyway. The second issue is that though the GrabTab isn't supposed to interfere with wireless charging, the truth is that your mileage will vary. If you're adding the GrabTab directly to the back of a phone then you "shouldn't" have any real issue. If, like me, you're adding the GrabTab to extend the functionality of an existing case -- even if it's a very thin one -- then even the little bit of extra thickness of the GrabTab may lead you to start having problems. The issue is twofold -- 1) wireless charging can be touchy and pretty gap sensitive in the first place. 2) wireless charging isn't efficient even in ideal conditions so even if the extra bit of gap doesn't outright keep you from charging you may find that your charging speed is slower than usual when this is added. I don't normally use wireless charging anyway because of its innate inefficiencies but to fully test the GrabTab I broke out my wireless charger and there was a definite increase in charge times with the GrabTab attached. It wasn't enough to prevent a full charge over the course of a full night, but it was enough to show that even the little bit of extra gap has a small effect. Since the wireless charging isn't an issue for me anyway, and since I'm the type that most often puts my phone down face-up so I can still see the display without having to pick i up, I personally really like the GrabTab. It stylishly added kickstand and grip options to my phone that I didn't have before while letting me keep a thin case that I already have and want to continue using. The GrabTab as a kickstand holds my phone at a really nice angle, gives me some new ways to hold my phone when I want to, and yet compresses to be negligibly thin when not in use. For me that's just what I needed.
