The Speck - GrabTab Finger Grip/Kickstand for Mobile Phones - Black is a beneficial small add on that serves a great purpose for me when talking on the go. The Speck - GrabTab Finger Grip/Kickstand for Mobile Phones - Black prevents me from dropping the phone through any fault of my own or someone else’s fault by bumping into me. My phone has complete security, because the Speck - GrabTab Finger Grip/Kickstand for Mobile Phones - Black attaches my phone securely with my hand. It is impossible to slip or become a jarred in any way. The kickstand function is another benefit that allows me hands free viewing of my phones’ screen. The Speck - GrabTab Finger Grip/Kickstand for Mobile Phones - Black has been a nice device to have.

A great idea, a great device, one small problem

I like this idea, I really do. I never even knew I needed it or that something like this existed. Do I need something like this? YES! I have such a frustration trying to sit my phone up to watch a video clip. Same with holding my phone when it isn't in my case's holster. This solves these problems and I didn't even think of something like this. That said, the only thing I don't like is that the sliding bar that creates the loop that is what you can put your finger in or use as a kickstand, doesn't immediately fall back down into place properly and then sometimes gets snagged on stuff or is just annoyingly sticking up. If left to sit awhile, it does fall back into place. So a good first run, needs a bit of work on the loop and how to get it to fall back down into place properly. I will continue to use this as I find it very useful and helpful. I'm sure you will too.

To start off I utilize my phone more than most. It's my work tool first and my fun toy second. That being said I like what Speck tried here. I have had the other options out there and they do tend to block the Wireless charger which I'm fond off. The only thing is no matter what charger I use it has to be messed with multiple times to make sure it's on there. Next thing is I tend to have to use two hands to actually get it in its pulled out position which defeats the purpose of this little guy. All in all it's not bad but for the reasons above I ended up pulling it off my case.

This would be a perfect solution for a person who doesn’t like the pop out circle design of the popular solution. It is sleek and business looking, no playfulness here. It works nicely as a stand, and the loop is secure—no drops possible.

This finger kickstand is really good. What I like best is unlike the pop buttons this attachment will feel comfortable in your pocket attached to your phone. The finger loop activates by sliding up a plastic flat loop that becomes the finger loop. Ingenious design. The kickstand is quite good to as it is very secure and places the phone screen at a good angle. I do wish that they could incorporate a magnet in the features so that those vent magnets that hold phones in cars can be used with this item. However, even though it does not have that magnet feature this is an excellent product. Very good buy.

Good alternative to bulky pop-out buttons

The *speck Grabtab is a different take on phone accessories like popsockets, which give you a firmer grip on your phone, preventing you from accidentally dropping it when it slips through your grasp. Popsockets are good, but for those of us who keep our phones in our pockets, the added bulk is a significant downside. The Grabtab provides the same functionality that you get from popsockets, but in a very slim package that is barely noticeable when not in use. The Grabtab attaches to the back of your phone with adhesive, like similar accessories. The middle strip can be pushed up with a thumb to form a loop into which you insert a finger to secure the phone in your hand. The loop locks in the forward position, but I found that the loop made this way was too loose to use on my finger. If I allowed it to slide back a bit, it was then tight on the finger and made the phone much more secure. Leaving the loop in the fully locked position allows you to use the loop as a sort of “kickstand” to prop the phone up in landscape orientation, for watching videos. This worked as advertised and can be flattened out of the way when you don’t want to use it. This is a simple device that does what it’s supposed to do. It’s an example of doing a couple of things well, and that’s it. I think this is a superior alternative to the popsocket approach, since I appreciate the thinness of this design. If you’ve been avoiding the alternatives because they stick out too much, this might be just what you’ve been looking for.

I've been using the Speck GrabTab Finger Grip/Kickstand for the last week or so and it's a cool product but its average at best for me. It was easy to install. Just peel the backing off and attach it to the back of your phone or case (I wouldn't dare apply it directly to my precious iPhone) and that's pretty much it. You push up from the bottom and it creates the loop to hold your phone. Nothing bad about it just there are other brands that execute this much more effectively. Over the last week I've noticed that the notch that catches and locks in place, has somewhat become loosened which causes the loop to pop out of place and slide down on it's own. The only other grip I have with it which isn't necessarily a deal breaker is the fact that it doesn't lay flat all the way down when closed. Other than that, it's average at best. But it does works well when propping your phone up on your desk for FaceTime calls and/or watching videos in landscape mode.

I attached this to my phone case and it works well. I use it primarily as a stand to stream on my phone. It stays in place and is sturdy. It is easy to use. Peel off protective coating and stick on your phone case. Its more functional than a pop socket for you can slide it back and you only have to extend it when needed.

This is an interesting design change for phone holders. It is the size of a credit card and just sticks to the back of your phone or phone case. The glue seems to be pretty strong which inspires confidence that it wont just fall off and i'm certain it can be used on a multitude of other devices such as some light tablets.

This phone accessory work very well if you have a smooth surface on the back of your phone. It may not adhere well if you have a case with an uneven surface. It takes up little room when folded flat. The stand works well for viewing the phone and for providing one handed grip. Great quality for the price.

I love this. It’s a lot better than the little mushroom knob my wife uses. This holds on well even while using gloves. I have it mounted on a IPhone Xr and I can reach all 4 corners easily. Feels natural and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Fit on my Samsung Galaxy S9 case, collapses and props up easy, pretty stable. Made my phone more usable, in part because I can place it on a surface and use it, rather than holding in my hand.

    sleek yet effective phone stand

this phone stand is actually pretty nice offering a sturdy stand that is extremely low profile, and feels pretty durable. the stand is easily formed by placing your fingernail in the groove , and pulling towards the center of the device. A click can be felt, once the groove reaches the lock in point. You can either use the resulting arch on the back of the phone as a finger grip, or place the phone on it's side to use it as a kickstand. The glue used creates a very reliable bond on either the back of a phone, or phone case. I love just how slim this is, it barely adds any thickness to the phone at all. So far, it's been great!

So I've had this GrabTab on my phone for a week and it is not at all what I had hoped for. The other round style of device is a much better option than this. Speck set out to make a unique product with this GrabTab, and it's a cool function with the sliding tab that rises for your finger. Unfortunately the great idea didn't quite relay well for my daily usage. The adhesive used is sticky and almost super sticky to the point it remains with lots of goo after you decide to take it off. The slider tab is a smart function by sliding down to increase the area for your finger to slide. I didn't like it because it's too linear for my finger to be able to hold the phone and function well. The other round type of socket allows me to hold the phone comfortably, but this Speck GrabTab couldn't give me any comfort. When it's not being used, I feel like this doesn't sit back down flush and still adds some cumbersome bulk to the phone. I think this was a good attempt at making a competitor to a different brand phone accessory. I didn't like this and I didn't find it useful for using my iPhone XR. My suggestion is to stay away from this one.

For $10 you get what you pay for, in the end this was ok for my phone and it has had some uses but maybe my phone case is too heavy or I should have gotten one made of a metal.

In most cases, plastic items that flex or bend are doomed to a short life. The GrabTab seems to defy the statistics by being very durable. Time will tell if this holds true.

It’s a nice device to have. Similar to a pop socket. Main downside is it does not swivel so if you hold phone at an angle it’s awkward. And more so if using a larger phone.

Nice simple, flat add on to your case. Its very easy to setup and add to your case/phone. Installation, I can recommend you make sure you extend the back so you can center it perfectly for your needs/grip, but once you do, it works great. Its simple to extend the back to grip or stand the phone up. When not in use folds flat and don't really notice the extra width. I like this a lot and if you are looking for something simple to grip/stand the phone up, this is for you.

This is by far the best finger grip/kickstand of any I've tried! It has a large adhesive area, is very lightweight, and folds completely flat when not in use unlike many of the "ring" attachments. It doesn't interfere with my car phone holder or "snag" on anything when I put it in or remove it from my jeans pocket! Fantastic product but you need a phone case with a large flat surface on the back unless you attach it directly to your phone

I have the max, so any extra help I can get to hold onto my phone, I'm in. Sits nice and flat, I can charge through it, and fills my fidget fix. Wish there were some more color options.
