Coming from an otter box defender this was a let down. It had zero grip on it and I couldn't hold it. Everything else about it I loved. Had to return it.

Once the cover was out on the phone, the volume buttons did not work. These things are way to expensive not to work properly.

I went to the pool with my phone in this case and the case melted in the sun. The sides started falling apart

I bought this for my daughter's phone in March and it's already broken after seven months.

Not my favorite speck case. Wound up returning it for another Speck CandyShell instead.

I returned this case because the edges felt flimsy. Didn't want the edges of the phone to become loose and not fit properly.

I just got an iPhone 6 and was looking for a good case. I've been an Otterbox user for years on iPhone and this version's phone with the bendable back made me even more likely to go back. But I really wanted to try something thinner and maybe a little more custom (Otterbox has a look, you know.# Happily, I got a couple cases to try from Speck including the MightyShell and the CandyShell+Faceplate. Here are my thoughts: -/+ The CandyShell is too slippery for my tastes while the MightyShell case is grippy and lays flat. This phone is already really thin and a slippery case just adds to my likelihood of dropping it. Obviously this is a preference thing and I've had smooth cases that I've liked in the past. So this is up to you. If you want more grip and have to have the CandyShell there is a version of the CandyShell with grip lines in the back. I prefer the MightyShell grip though. + The military specs are legit. I dropped the case a lot to check it out. I like the shock absorbion displayed. There is a lip around the glass and the case covers all the corners really well. I trust that it will hold up for normal drops. #Nothing is 100%). However, I felt a perception barrier comparing this to a fully covered phone case like an Otterbox. Personally, if I were buying the CandyShell I'd buy the version with the front cover. Also, if you are concerned about the structural protection of this case you could go with the MightyShell, which offers 2x the military spec protection. + Speck's cases and pieces are interchangeable. Personally, I liked the MightShell protection better but I really liked the CandyShell front piece and they worked together and fit together perfectly. + The MightyShell looks great and is really thin. If your thing is thin this is a great case that stays thin with strong protection. If you are looking for different colors and a sleeker look I think Speck does a great job with color combinations. I tried out a light pink and seafoam CandyShell and a magenta and hot pink MightyShell. There are a ton of great colors available. Overall, Speck's cases are good looking and provide thin, but strong protection. I prefer the MightyShell over the CandyShell because of feel of the case and the protection rating. I like the CandyShell front faceplate with both. Speck makes good cases and the prices are really good for the quality and protection. When I got my iPhone 5, I dropped it and got a scratch on the exterior. No big deal, but I didn't want a repeat of that incident with the new iPhone 6. I got an iPhone 6 last Saturday and did not want to leave the store without a case. I wanted a case that would offer good protection, but also one that would look good on the phone (I got the silver). There were other clear cases, but this seemed well made and the edges on the front came up high enough to protect the screen in an accidental drop. I really like the feel of the case because the back is smooth and the sides are rubberized for a good grip. The protection is just what I needed.The cutouts for the charger and earbuds work well as do the power and volume buttons. The case covers both sides as well as the top and bottom, in comparison to some cases that are open on the bottom. It is also thick enough that the camera lens is recessed (why did Apple make the lens protrude anyway?) If I have complaints, they are minor, and I only have two. 1. It is not the prettiest case in the world. The back is clear, but has a circular pattern that is actually part of the cushioning, so it kind of obscures the look of the silver phone. 2. Once the case is on, it is nearly impossible to get off. The guy in the store put the case on, so I had not actually seen the phone. After I got home, I removed the case, with a great deal of effort. In summary, if you want a case that looks reasonably good, although somewhat utilitarian, but offers excellent protection, I would recommend this case. If you want pretty, look at something else. I think the irony of the iPhone is that Apple goes to the trouble of making the phone thin (too thin in my opinion) and sleek, then almost everyone puts a case on it for protection.

The first case I bought for my iPhone 6 was a Speck Mightyshell, clear. I actually didn't like the way it looked on the phone, so I exchanged it for a clear "pretty" case that showed off the phone. That seemed too flimsy, so I went with a more rubberized one. Protection was pretty good, but I was concerned that it was not good enough. I've now gone full circle and back to the Speck Mightyshell, this time in Orange. At first I thought the color was too vivid, but I've gotten used to it. It seems as though it will offer good protection because of the dual layer and the edges in the front. Some others have commented that it is hard to remove the case from the phone, and that is true, but again, I wouldn't want the case coming off on its own. This case is somewhat bulkier than the Tech 21 I had before, but I feel the phone is better protected. Understand that this is a Bestbuy exclusive, so it is not available elsewhere It is somewhat expensive at $49.95, but I think, worth the price.

After a long wait, my brand new Speck MightyShell for the iPhone 6 arrived. I have been a happy Speck customer since the iPhone 3G and have previously purchased the Speck PixelSkin models to protect my iPhones since they are made out of form fitting rubber and perfectly suited for the smaller and thicker iPhone 3G, 4 and 5 models. With the introduction of the larger and slimmer iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, I thought it best to try a more protective and stiffer case to avoid any bending of the iPhone 6 when it was in my pocket, even if this “bending” is extremely unlikely. These fears of bending led me to the sturdy Speck MightyShell. This Speck MightyShell case for the iPhone 6 did not disappoint! Since the iPhone 6 is already extremely slim, I did not want a case that results in the iPhone 6 being thick since Apple worked really hard to make the new iPhone 6 so thin. The Speck MightyShell allows the iPhone 6 to retain its thinness even though it is covered by an extremely protective case. The Speck MightyShell case fits snuggly on the iPhone 6 and does not allow the iPhone 6 to move around inside the case (which would defeat the whole idea of protecting the iPhone). I have the Orange, Blue and Grey version of the Speck MightyShell, which aesthetically looks great while protecting my Black and Space Gray iPhone. These colors are vibrant and the rubberized and plastic materials used in the construction of the Speck MightyShell resist dirt and scrapes and can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth or anti-bacterial wipe. After using this product for almost a week, I give this Speck MightyShell 5 stars (out of 5 stars) since it does everything I want and need it to do. I do wish that Speck had released their “ShieldView” screen protector in the same box as the Speck MightyShell case since the front glass deserves as much protection as the rest of the iPhone. just hope that with the iPhone 7 in 2016, Apple will allow Speck and other third party case makers to have access to the actual new iPhones prior to their release so that iPhone users will be able to have great cases like the Speck MightyShell available on launch day instead of the current system of case manufacturers having to wait for the actual public release of the new iPhone before being able to manufacture the cases (hear that Tim Cook and Jonny Ive????).

Just picked up the Mightyshell case for iphone 6 in the pink. It fits great. Unlike others I did not find it hard to put on. Have not tried to take off yet. I like the larger lip for protection when putting my phone face down The rubbery side increase safety while holding the phone. It is very light weight and does not make the phone seem too large. All in all a great case and I feel it makes my phone safer. Time will tell how the back wears. Good job Speck.

I bought these case twice. It seemed pretty good at the beginning and I liked it because it looked sturdy and it felt like I was giving great protection to my phone. However after 2 months, it came unglued around the edges of the case. That happened while I was traveling so thought it was maybe because I was handling my phone too much and I was using a selfie stick. When I came back I decided to get another one and sadly after 5 months, same thing happened again. It is a nice case and i like it a lot but it seems that it is made with very cheap materials and it only last couple of months. I recommend not to buy if you don't want to buy a new case every 3-6 months. Now I have to replace my case but for sure it won't be for this one. Very disappointed because I liked it a lot.

I don't like bulky cases and this one is great! It's not waterproof but it's exactly what I was looking for

The Speck Mighty Shell Case fits my IPhone 6 very well. Looks like is will hold up to drops or impacts as advertised. The rubber (TPU) bumper has a nice feel and does not slip from my hand! The clear back is a nice touch. Simply put, this case just feels right. No problems plugging in the Apple lightning cable etc. Again, very impressed with this case so far.

I am very particular and picky when it comes to phone cases. I usually end up spending more on cases than I do my actual phone and after getting the new iPhone 6 I can say without a doubt I have never owned a better case. The protection is uncanny and tremendous. The rubber rim around the phone keeps the screen off tables and is great when you hold your phone because it doesn't slip out of your hand. All in all if you are looking for a phone case with great protection and a slim design this is the best you can do hands down.

Always satisfied with Speck products, a little bulky but still a great case.

This case was excellent . It's strong, sturdy, and protected.

I've had this brand of case before, I ungraded for a tougher protection and definitely recommend this one as it protects falls.

the Zagg Invisible Shield HDX screen protector fits with this case for those having issues. had this case for a couple of days and is working great so far. Seems like it will hold up over time
