Great for a Short Time of Use

Unfortunately, the case split on the side with of the power button on my iPhone Pro 12Max after a month and half of use. I am very careful with my phones, even with a case and never dropped it. Not sure why it split on the side.

However, Speck has made changes to the Presidio Grip cases. And, well it has lost what I loved about them, their GRIP. The raised part used to be a rubber type material and very grippy, not anymore. Appears now to be same material as the rest of the case and just raised. This makes the case slick and uncomfortable in the hand. Sad day as I have purchased many, many of these and the Candyshell Grip cases over the years. Ended a great relationship.

If you drop them hard enough, from high enough, or at just the wrong angle, your device may still be damaged. The rubber on the case provides decent grip to it so that the phone does not fall out of your hands. The plastic used for this case is okay, but leaves something to be desired in “feel”. When you compare the materials and price of some of the Apple cases to this Speck case, I think you get more for your money with the Apple cases. Therefore, I would not recommend buying this case at full price. That said, I’ve already dropped the phone using this case, and it has protected the phone perfectly in a home environment.

The protection this case offers is not worth the money. DO NOT waste your hard earned money on Spec. You’ll end up paying out the rear to replace your damaged iphone.
