Posted .Hey Tom - Sorry to hear that but really appreciate your feedback. Speck's cases were designed to protect against drops and impact, but some find them a little too slippery for their taste. If grip is important to you, we'd like you to check out Presidio Grip or Presidio V-Grip, both of which were designed with grippiness and hold in mind. Barely covers the sides of the S9 and allows the phone to get dirty along its edges. I'm used to the otterbox and will definitely be going back to one once they come out with more options.
