Many appreciate the case's ease of use and positive aesthetic appeal, while some find it to be a bit bulky. A small number of users noted an incompatibility with the iPhone 7's headphone jack design.

Not as grippy as older Speck case

I've had the Candyshell Grip on an iPhone 6 for 2 years. Great case. Great feel. I bought the replacement model Presidio Grip for the iPhone 7 and was disappointed. The Presidio Grip uses a different plastic, and is not nearly as grippy as the former. Very disappointed. Returned it.

    Good concept, bad quality

I really liked the design of this case and it looks great with a matte black iPhone. The sides wrap around just enough to protect the screen and there's plenty of room for the speakers, lightning port, and camera. The issue though is durability. Within a week, the rubber on the top and bottom corners was totally worn down. The case cracked on the corner (where protection is needed the most) from a gentle drop on a carpeted floor. The rubber on the back peels off within two weeks and will rub off in your pocket. I expected much, much more from a case that was this expensive. I'll be looking for something similar from a better brand.

    The Grip has slip

I had a Speck Grip on my iPhone 6 and it provided a superior "grippy" feel and resistance to sliding on a flat surface. Bought a new Presidio Grip for my iPhone 7, and Speck has changed the case design and material. It's almost slippery in the hand, and slides on a flat surface that is not level. It's a big disappointment and Speck has made a mistake calling this a "Grip". I call it the "Slip".
