    The protection this case provided was on par with previous cases I've owned. The issue for me was that the ridges on the side of the phone made it hard to distinguish the side buttons from those ridges. Personal preference I guess, but I prefer smoother sides so I can feel the side buttons when I need to hit a side button while it's in my pocket. I have since returned for a cheaper case from amazon.
