Wrong size case for phone

I ordered a case for Moto g play I ordered at the same time it was underneath where it says items you may want to add to cart or something like that. When I got the case it was pretty close to 2 inches to short. I mean really I didn't look at the measurements. I mean why put it underneath the phone that you're looking at and say other items you may consider purchasing with the phones in other words why would someone buy a phone case that's almost 2 inches to small for the phone they purchased. I mean I may be overreacting but I have to now go to the trouble of returning the case and trying to find the right size case.
