If grip is important to you, we'd like you to check out Presidio Perfect-Clear with Grips or Presidio2 Grip, both of which were designed with grippiness and hold in mind. It seems relatively protective. The reason that I'm rating it so low is that the side buttons on the phone are extremely hard to press with the case on them. It takes some effort, and sometimes multiple tries, to get a button press to register. This hasn't been a problem with other cases that I've owned in the past. For this reason, I would probably choose a different case instead. It's also extremely tight, and very difficult to get on and off. If you're going to need to take it off often for any reason (swapping SIM cards or whatever), you will want to look elsewhere as well.

Good protection but thicker than I like

I like that you can see the phone, but not enough for the size difference between this one and another one I have in black… I actually exchanged this for that.
