Got this for a great deal for cyber Monday online for 19.99! I had no problems putting this case on unlike many other reviewers. It’s slim, and I feel like my phone is better protected now!

To start, I got this case as a gift and will be asking to return it ASAP. Sadly, I like Speck as a brand. I had one of their cases on my iPhone XS Max for 2 years and it survived countless tumbles... But this case is not like my last Speck Case. It's very difficult to put on the new iPhone. You really have to press hard to get in there. I felt like I was damaging the screen trying to put it in the case. The case is also very slippery as other reviewers would say. Without the grip feature, I feel like it could slide off of flat surfaces with an incline and right out of your hand. My next issue with the case is that the volume buttons are HARD to press. I have to really squeeze the side of the phone to lower and increase the volume. Even Geek Squad has told me that if a new iPhone with a Speck Case comes in, they are going to remove the case due to the difficulty of pressing the volume buttons. Also, this is a basic clear case and I can confirm that fingerprints are an issue. It makes the case look dirty after a few hours of use. Finally, this case also gets very warm on wireless chargers so beware of that if you still decide to go with this case. I will say that I trust Speck cases to protect my phone from drops if my last case has proved anything. I will be exchanging this case likely today due to these issues. Hopefully, Speck in the future will address these!

Like that it’s clear to show the phone color but HATE how terrible the volume “buttons” work. As in they are extremely difficult to use. I am aware that cases are suppose to be “snug” to fit the phone and ideally protect from dropping it but this case made me feel like I was going to damage the $1400 phone putting on and taking it off. That’s not a good design element for me personally. I will return it due to the side buttons not working unless I use two hands and press very hard.

Only reason it's not one star is because it's very rigid, so it probably will protect the phone. This makes it very difficult to put on though, and I felt like I was going to damage the phone when putting it on. Its very sheer and slippery, and feels almost slimy - I hate holding it. It also is a fingerprint magnet, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a clear case. Overall, just not what I expected, and at $40, massively overpriced for what it is. Returned.

I’ve been purchasing the exact same case for my past 3 iPhones and I’ve always loved them. However, the way this one was designed it seems there’s some sort of restriction on the volume buttons. I don’t know why they made them so stiff this time around. It really makes the phone difficult to use sometimes. I also agree with other reviewers that the case was harder to put on compared to previous ones.

phone is very secured with case. I just don't like the volume up/down and power button. You have to press really hard.

Very difficult to put on, buttons are hard to press, shows fingerprints. You will likely become frustrated with putting on and removing the case.
