Tried taking the case off and pressing the case buttons multiple times to make it loose. Nothing works. Read somewhere to make slit cuts in the button sides. Don’t want to try that’s would rather return.

And I’m getting a less expensive case, fortunately, we have AppleCare, since I’m not sure of the level of protection that was expensive case will provide.

I saw this and assumed it would be an equivalent replacement. It’s not. The case is much bulkier and the buttons don’t click. The non-clicky buttons is what irritated me the most. It’s difficult to click the home button and volume buttons. The case is also really hard to take on and off. It’s not a bad case, just a significant downgrade over the Apple clear case. Given, it’s a fraction of the price of the Apple case and Apple doesn’t even make them anymore for the 13 pro max. I used this case for a week or 2 then ended up buying a different case.

I like the clear ones and this one is sturdy enough without being too bulky and burdensome. Highly recommend. The only downside is the cases seem to be going up in price (they used to be $20-$30 and now they seem to be starting at $49 and up).

If there was one thing I would say is that the buttons are really stiff on the up and down to work but I imagine will get better over time

I've had some Speck cases in the past and they were great. I was disappointed that the power and volume buttons were very difficult to press. I should have returned it right away. I may take a knife and try to mod the case so they push down easier.
