Bought the case when i got the computer, it hasn't even been 4 weeks and the case chipped on all 4 corners, both on top and the bottom. The computer has never been dropped or slammed. Will never purchase this brand again!

This case is good, the corner is hard to put on but overall a great case.

Within the first couple of months, it cracked at the corners where it should hold not the computer. Speck did send me a replacement about a month or so ago. It has cracked at the corners as well, even worse than the other one. This laptop only gets opened and closed, not thrown around. There is no way it should be cracking this badly! I'm getting my money back, don't waste your money! For $50 I expect a much higher quality, this is a very cheap product!

I bought this in October. I installed the cover right away to protect the laptop. I use it at home, and carry it sometimes, but always in a padded, well fitted bag. Within a month, the cracking started. I am very careful with my laptop. Clearly this is a design issue. The cracks are bad now, six months later. Everywhere it clips onto the laptop, the case is cracked. I'm still using it because it protects the laptop from scratches, but that is all. I could get it replaced under warranty, but why bother. Next one will obviously do the same thing. Don't buy this cover!!! I could get one free, and won't. You shouldn't either.

I was so excited to get this case when I bought my Mac a month ago and im really disappointed with it now. When I put it on the fitting is a tiny bit off but thats ok not that big of a deal its just one corner that didn't grab well but it stayed on just fine I was happy with it. Then not even a week later the cracks started showing up. Its been a month now and there are a lot more cracks im scared its going to fully break on me. The laptop has stayed in my house it hasn't "traveled" anywhere and hasn't been dropped it just started cracking on its own. Ill have to try and find something just as cute elsewhere:(

This is the second Speck case we have owned. My wife's first one on her 13" MPB worked great and never had an issue. In April I bought her this one for hew new super-light 13" MacBook Air and in just two months it has already had a piece break off and two big cracks in it. it has never been dropped, had anything dropped on it, etc. The case just started cracking and how it is falling apart. I don't know what happened but the product is terrible quality now and I would never recommend this to anyone.

Very cute case and has a variety of pretty colors, however, cracked within a month of having it on my Mac. It started out with a tiny crack, and now has gotten longer...

I've had this case with new laptop for less than a month and case is already cracked, and this was just from normal use, didn't drop it or anything.

On a positive note, the calypso blue is SO PRETTY! However, I wish I had scrolled further down to read the bad reviews to prevent this purchase. Much like other reviews, I found that this case cracked within the first 24 hours of purchase. Then, throughout the week, I found more random cracks. No, I did not drop my macbook (whew). I am really disappointed because Speck is known for great products. This one is a total miss, and I will be returning it. :(

$50 and not even a week old it started cracking on me. Not a very durable product and was not the easiest to get on the laptop either. I always set laptop in my back pack that is well padded and its still cracking. Its been 2 1/2 months now and the case is still on but i have doctored it with tape and stickers. I am too broke to buy another case right now. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT WORTH THE INVESTMENT.

I purchased this case after reading a ton of positive reviews. It was a waste of money. Within the first week of owning this case, it had already cracked. I move my macbook minimally. Just around the house, here and there. I've currently had this case for four months now, and it falling to pieces. It is cracked everywhere and chunks are breaking off. Not work the $45 I paid for it.

I ordered this case with hopes of it being a great case to protect my Mac. WRONG. The case didn't even snap onto my laptop and within 2 weeks it was cracked and chipped all over from simply trying to get it to "snap" on. Don't waste your money on this- it's expensive and not even worth it.

I'm really mad I spent almost $40 on two pieces of plastic. It barely fit onto the laptop. I think I even broke one of the tiny latches trying to get it to fit, but I shrugged it off and assumed responsibility. Now looking at it, there are cracks everywhere, top and bottom plate!

After hearing great things about this laptop shell I was really excited about purchasing. I was very disappointed. Within 4 days the top shell was already cracked, and the bottom shell cracked after two weeks. So not worth the money.

owned this case for less than a month and it's already cracked in 2 separate places. computer has never been dropped and is always kept in a laptop sleeve. case was also VERY hard to attach when I brought it home.

My case broke about a week after I bought it. The corners went first and then the little clip on parts on the back. For $50 I expected a tougher product especially since I'm gentle with my laptop.

I've never dropped my Mac, I also keep it in a zip case with the speck case on it and the speck hard plastic case just cracks and I have no idea why! It's a waste of money!!!!!
