Very thin and hard to snap on. Doesn't want to stay on.

Broke a month after buying. It cracked and chipped

The was a slight struggle snapping onto the laptop. It now pops off in the very middle, with each time I snap it on there are stress cracks. I'm glad I found this on clearance. I'm still disappointed, I would be even more if I purchased the case at full price

This is my third case. It is prone to crack often.

I haven't dropped my Mac but normal wear and tear has led to cracks in the speck case. Now when I open my Mac I usually have a surprise piece of plastic waiting for me that has come apart from the protective case. I expected more.

Both of my cases have cracked under normal use conditions. I always transport my mac in a padded laptop bag. Not sure if I will purchase another Speck case, especially for the amount of money that they cost.

Ive only had it a short time and it has a crack on it. I am very gentle with it and have no clue how or when it happened

when I was reading reviews online a lot of people said that the case cracked and it wasn't that good. I understand that some people experienced that, but mine was not like that. It did not crack and was really simple to put on. I really recommend this case. I bought it in the color lightning yellow and it looks awesome :)

Was a cheap price; unfortunately looked like it was a return. It was all dirty and scratched up. Will not buy any kind of case online again

Thought it would be a soft, rubbery protective case like phone cases. Bottom was hard plastic and corner broke off right out of the box.

Very cheap plastic. I don't see how it provides any protection. Returned promptly.

Cracks really easy. Cheap plastic! The price should definitely be less!!!!!!!!!

Looks awful and felt tacky, best part was opening it to find out it was broken

I did a lot of research when I bought this about a year ago. I had it shipped to me (they didn't have the color I wanted in store) -- that whole experience was fine. BB even price-matched for me when they dropped the price a week later, so that was great. In terms of the product itself, I was worried about the case being bulky -- it definitely isn't. You have to know which model macbook you have to make sure you get the right one. The only thing I don't like about this is that my MBA tends to overheat in this case b/c there are no air vents. (I also bought a case for my 2010 MBP, and it has air vents on the bottom). When the MBA gets hot, I hear the fan and the battery dies much faster. Sometimes i have to take off the bottom part of the case to try to help it cool off. That's the only annoying part. I think Speck does make some MBA cases with the vents now, so you might consider that since I think the price is the same, vent or no vent. Otherwise, no issues -- it does what it's supposed to do. These cases are awfully expensive for being a piece of plastic, but when you invest $1000 on a computer, you certainly don't want to skimp on the case to save $10 here or there.

Lightweight. Great color. Purchased for a child and provides great protection.

This is my 2nd Speck cover after having my 1st one after 16 months after seeing cracks on the corners of the top lid and scratches on the top and bottom. I haven't seen that many similar Macbook cases in regular stores, so I usually gravitate to Speck due to how accessible they are. I bought this to have a backup crack-free case for occasions that call for a more minimalist look, but if it weren't for that, Speck Macbook cases have held up fine for someone who frequently depends on their laptop.
