A traditional action movie that will always entertain you

I love Speed. Have since I saw it in the theaters. Looking for an affordable flick for family movie night with two kids who couldn't have more different tastes in genres, I took a flier on this. They loved it. Both were at the edge of their seats the whole time, reacting to all the key points. Very active participants. Now here's the best part: When the movie was over, they had expended so much energy watching the movie that they went right to bed--no arguments, no fights about brushing teeth. Boom! Bedtime. Totally worth the $9.

This is a classic action movie and at a gook price, I recommend

I missed seeing the motion picture Speed when it was first released, but I have seen it on cable several times over the years. It has always been a thrill to watch, but no viewing matches the clarity and detail of this 4K release. You are drawn in to all the action and tension like never before! Highly recommended!

An awesome 90s action fest starring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock and Dennis Hopper. Reeves (long before his "Matrix" and "John Wick" claim to fame) stars as Jack Traven, a Los Angeles police officer who must stop a mad bombers plot to blow up a city bus. Not the most in-depth movie, but certainly a fun popcorn flick. Total recommend.

This is a by-the-book action/suspense film with a dynamite caper at its center: if the bus’s speed drops below 50 MPH, the bus explodes. Cleverly written for its genre, SPEED is a master class in how to make throwaway entertainment that doesn’t leave the audience feeling they’ve thrown away their money on it. It’s brilliantly edited for effect, and it won a well-deserved Oscar for Best Production Sound. The transfer could look better, though—there’s some ugly green crush visible in the dark areas of the frame about 2/3 of the way through, and the sharpness level is nothing special. Still, it’s the best the film has ever looked on home video. Worth your time.

An entertaining and endlessly rewatchable 90s classic. Disney's 4K release does the title justice by offering a newly remastered 4K disc AND blu-ray disc. The last time the HD master of this movie was revised was back in 2006 near the birth of the Blu-ray format. For now, truly the 'Ultimate Collector's Edition'

Good movie, good price, nice story behind it racing

A great 90s film that looks and sounds great in 4k. Suprisingly i have never owned this film on dvd or blu ray so when the 4k version was announced i was all in. I have a massive blu ray collection and i must say im glad i havent seen this on blu ray because according to youtube reviews and my own eyes this looks outstanding and very much like seeing it in the theater.

Speed is an entertaining movie and fun to watch!!!

This is a film I have purchased on every format known to man. With the purchase of Fox by the mouse house, I was not sure I would ever see a UHD, but here it is! The picture is reference, as is the sound. Everything, from the slip to the discs them selves were in pristine condition. As always, the customer service was also fantastic.

Excellent 4k transfer. I was a little worried since Fox did the 4k upscale years ago, but it turned out great. Much improved color correcting and the HDR pops. The 2 bus explosions are gorgeous. The audio was nit upgraded, but it already had a very good sound to begin with. The blu ray disc that comes with the packages has a ton of special features.

This classic action film has been upgraded to a great 4K release with improved detail and color via HDR10. This is the best the movie has looked on home physical media to date. The special features are mostly imported from the old DVD (the old blu-ray was lacking these features). The steelbook packaging is nice, like a lot of the Best Buy steelbooks.

I hardly know where to start. There is so much to like about this film! Sandra Bullock in one of her earlier roles has just the right amount of smarts, sass, and sense to hold her own in a film as full of testosterone as Keanu Reeves, Jeff Daniels, and Dennis Hopper can make it. There's enough humor to make the tension even more tight and the plot twists just keep coming. You won't be bored, but you might reconsider ever riding a bus again.

I'm not going to talk about how good the movie is, because you probably already know it. This is about the 4K UltraHD. I love this movie and bought the 4K to replace my 2006 Blu-Ray. They didn't disappoint me in transferring it to 4K. I was happy with my Blu-Ray, but this is better. The details are amazingly clear.

The movie looks really great on 4K - very fresh and clean. With 4K upgrades, the movies can look worse, the same, or better than Blu-Ray/DVD and this one looks better. Happy with the purchase and always recommend SteelBook when available, for favorite movies, and when the artwork is good.

Like most movies shot on film, the jump to 4K reveals, you guessed it, film grain. A movie like this isn’t going to be as shiny as the newest Pixar release, but it shouldn’t be. It looks like how it’s supposed to look, based on the technology of the time and the director’s intentions. Knowing that, you’ll enjoy it!

This movie is a masterpiece of its genre. Keanu Reeves does a great job, Sandra Bullock is brilliant, and Dennis Hopper is utterly convincing as a self-obsessed psychopathic. Sure, you know where it’s going, but it sure is a thrill ride getting there!
