It's basically a black painted version of the r2d2 sphero,, kinda regret getting both

Last year I got the BB-8 and loved it. I was going to get R2-D2, but once I saw this version. I had to have it. The technology on this is so much fun. The built on the hardware is solid, the software runs fairly smooth but has a learning curve. Other than than, its a tech toy collectible that is great for any Star Wars fan.

Nice quality toy, also have the bb9. But wish they offered more personality like other similar toys.

Purchased this as it was on $50. It's fun to play with. Will most likely end up as a collection item

The item purchase was fine. Except the stickers placed directly on the item is concerning. Putting a sticker on the item and possible damaging the box can be of a concern to collectors. I asked the sticker be removed prior to leaving the store. I enjoy the item completely for the sake of collecting it.

You gotta buy this and then store it for 50 years, as it will easily sell for 5 to 10% more than what you invested. That is what I am doing. If I could afford more of these I would do it as it is the best way to make 10% in 50 years time frame that I can plan on.

ok as a remote device.the product looks great.good detail.good to display on a shelf.

I own, BB8 and R2D2. Much better than BB8 in my opinion. Reason being is you know which is the front versus left, right or back. I know the BB8 has a light to indicate which way its pointing but I find it difficult to reorient it. This and BB8 is much better.

Took a little while to get the app downloaded and it works. Cute for the collection

I purchased as gift for a teenage girl. She is on a high school robotics team so I wasn't sure she'd be interested given her skill level. She was so happy with this; quirky fun but still enough Coding & tech sophistication to make this prove an excellent purchase.

pair with the app with ease, easy to control and navigate with minimum knowledge.

Great little Star Wars toys works well with app moves around just like r2d2

Haven't explored all of its features yet. However, among the ones I have checked, I liked the path following feature the most. It's amazing how accurate it's in terms of going over a predefined path. This is my first toy in this series and I liked it a lot.

R2Q5 doesn’t appear in the new movie. The color aside, it is just R2D2
