My kids, ages 6, 9, and 11 got sprk for Christmas. They have been playing with it all day lomg except when it needs a charging break. They haven't tried programming it yet, just playing with it like an RC car. However, it is amazing! Only complaints are controlling it takes a bit of practice and the packaging comes with very little instructions printed (just a couple pictures showing you to charge it and download app... like IKEA imstuctions). I would prefer a more substantial manual to be included.

First played with one of these at the Apple Store at an Apple camp and was SUPER impressed with all the features. It doesn’t have the “WOW” factor of the BB8 and other characters, but is more functional to program with (lights up and does other tricks!)

We bought this for two teenagers and they love it! We couldn’t be happier with the item and how it forces them to think outside the box. They have been able to battle each other and complete challenges.

The environment for building apps is an excellent method for you to get your young one excited about software development and critical thinking, perfect gift for the 10-12 year old.

Purchased as a gift for my grandson. Truthfully I’m not sure I could have figured it out, but my 10 year old grandson had no trouble getting it set up and going.

My 7 year old took an Apple Camp and got to program with Ozobots. He really enjoyed the camp and asked for an Ozobot for Christmas. This is an educational toy used with their app. You can make the Ozobot move and it also comes with some tape with measurements on top and you can stick on the floor and try to maneuver the Ozobot within the tape.

Bought this toy for my son who is 9 and loves coding and building legos. The first thing that stood out to me is that you can code this little thing to do just about anything even a little jump with the right momentum. I wish we could accessorize the toy so when I take it to the park we don’t confuse it with other spheros.

Spheros are a wonderful tool for teaching coding. Wish I could get Best Buy to send me a receipt for my purchase.

This is programming at an introductory level which demonstrates young students (8 yrs+) can learn the skill.

This is the perfect robot to begin to learn practical coding. The skills my daughter learned with it, she applied to her school’s robotics team and it helped take them to the next level.

This little robot requires the operator to think logically step by step and he can do it independently. Also gives immediate feedback so it isn't frustrating. It's also cute and very entertaining.
