I was surprised that I really liked this movie. John Francis Daley(Dr. Sweets from Bones/Sam Weir of Freaks and Geeks) was one of the writers. The script was intelligent, humorous, action-packed and highly entertaining. Tom Holland is a talented young man. He is an excellent choice for the role. Tony Stark popping in and out of the film was a treat. I highly recommend this movie for anybody who has a sense of humor and loves a light-hearted action movie.

"Homecoming" was a lot of fun in theatres and the home video presentation doesn't disappoint. The Steelbook artwork is one of my favorites, especially for a marquee movie like this. My only drawbacks are the 4K presentation, as the original movie was finished at 2K resolution and therefore "uprezzed" to 4K. The positive aspect of this is the inclusion of Dolby Vision, a new HDR standard that's slowly making its way onto UHD Blu-rays, amplifiers, players and TVs. Dolby Atmos audio is also a plus. The special features are okay, but nothing to write home about by recent standards. Overall, this is a really fun movie on a great, but not perfect, UHD Blu-ray. It's still a great watch all things considered, one I'll definitely be rewatching.

Good movie for the modern Spiderman - Ultimate Fan

It as a good movie, especially if you like the ultimate series. This is not your traditional & original Spiderman. Thank goodness they did not went through the "How I got my power story" ... they just continue the story from "Civil War" movie. I guess in the Ultimate Marvel Series Tony Stark have a lot more influence or mentor role for the young Peter Parker. The other change is the whole new suit or really Spiderman suit was design and created by Tony and not Peter. Again, this is our 21st Century Spiderman and is not bad at all. At least, Peter got to develop the original spiderweb ... yeah!!! If you think about it, is more realistic the fact that the suit was create by somebody with a little more capacity to do it.

Everyone's favorite wall crawler is finally a part of the MCU and you should be really excited. In what feels like an 80s coming of age story, Spiderman is just starting out and is still a highschooler with all of the responsibilities of a normal kid. Like going to class and cleaning his room.!It's fun watching Peter Parker learn how to use his powers and what it means to be a superhero. He and Iron Man have great chemistry. This is one of the best MCU movies ever created.

Spidey Comes Home...to the Marvel Universe

There have been five previous Spider-Man films, but this is the first one set in Marvel's cinematic universe. As established in Captain America: Civil War, Peter Parker is still a nerdy teenager who gained super-powers from a spider's bite, but now he gets to operate the world of Iron Man, Captain America, and the Avengers. The film balances Peter's young crime-fighting career with usual high school angst, and it all works quite well. This may be the best Spidey film yet.

I saw this back in theaters when it came out an tu be honest it wasn’t the Spider-Man film I dreamed of but it was still very much entertaining to watch a and Tom Holland absolutely stole the show playing the iconic role. As for the steelbook cover art. It’s absolutely beautiful and stunning. If only they had put that much effort in designing the Doctor Strange steelbook in the same way. The film is a must own for collectors or any Spider-Man fan. 4K is the the way to go!

So I usually wait to buy most of my movies on Black Friday. Why you ask? Because I can wait to save a TON of money! 2017 bestbuy had 4k disks at 17.99 this year they went as low as 9.99! Can't wait till next year. This movie was part of its 14.99 deal. Disney first came out with 4k with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 so when the new Spiderman came I had to get it. Great quality. I have a Samsung 8000 series with HDR TV and I use the Sony 4k 800 player. Looks amazing!

Yes, it's another Spider-Man movie, but it's STILL a fun movie to watch. Featuring a much younger Spider-Man than we've gotten before and brought into the larger world of the Marvel universe. Iron Man does make an appearance throughout as we see Spider-Man mature as a hero while navigating high school and facing the Vulture. Lots of action with the regular Marvel humor throughout. Even if you've seen all the others I would suggest at least giving this one a watch.

Its Marvel. Its Spider-man. You know what you are in for. We had no issue letting our son and daughter watch with us. Some language and superhero violence. In terms of viewing order it serves well as a stand alone movie but it is best to watch after Captain America: Civil War. Falls somewhere in the teens of a 20+ movie series. Wiki MCU if you need to know "proper" viewing order.

I grew up with the Spider-Man comic book and when the movies started to come out I was excited. Each one has their own merit in the methos of Spider-Man, however, Homecoming is a lot of fun to watch. Yes, it has it's own issues, like the fact that Uncle Ben is never mentioned once, and that Peter/Spidey seems more interested in pleasing Tony then the with great power idea, but it also is fun. Plus, the quality of the movie is astounding and the steelbook is beautiful.

I was skeptical when i heard about this kid playing Spiderman, i hoped it wasn't gonna be just another money grab. Thankfully it wasn't, it was awesome. I was really impressed with all the performances especially Michael Keaton as the vulture, but c'mon he's BATMAN! It was a hatd choice beteeen 4k and 3d but the steelbook tipped the scales. It's a beautiful case front and back, even webbong on the inside. So try to get the 4k steelbook if you can. Definitely get it.

This movie should rightfully be called Spider-Man: Resurrection, because that’s what Marvel manages to do with this character. If you have seen the Spider-Man movies of the past (most notably with Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man), then you would know how disastrous they were. In this movie, they manage to improve greatly upon the Spider-Man character/story-line. It ties in nicely in the MCU and is a must-see prior to watching Avengers: Infinity War

I watched this movie about 4 days ago with my mom. I watched it on my 65" 4k LG C7 and the video quality using Dolby Vision was phenomenal. I also had just updated the TV firmware which I noticed had a new version of Dolby vision. Overall the movie had good action and humor I'm going to buy the 4k Spiderman box set next. Unfortunately I already have the amazing Spiderman 2 on 4k and the other ones are not sold separately as far as I can tell.

Love having Spider Man join the MCU. Aside from that, the movie is entertaining and a lot of fun. I enjoy the direction for this Spider Man, having him firmly in the middle of his high school years as opposed to being just out of high school and finding his way in the city. Watching Spider Man navigate not just being a super hero but a super hero that is a kid adds another layer we haven't gotten to see in past spider man movies. I strongly recommend.

This was one of the better Spider-Man movies made. Both of the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies were awful. And the last Tobey M movie stunk as well. This movie is up there with the first Tobey film. The only issue you might have it how this movie is related to the MCU movies Avengers and Civil War. Helps to see those first because they’re related. This Spidey can stand on its own, but definitely helps to have the knowledge of the other MCU films.

This is by far the best Spider-Man movie in the last 10 years. I still hold 1 (2002) and 2 (2004) near and dear to my heart, but this beats ANYTHING else Sony has tried to shove on us. Michael Keaton is absolutely fantastic, and the exchange between him and Tom Holland is perhaps one of the very best scenes I've ever witnessed in a film. The Steelbook art was designed by the IMPECCABLE Ryan Meinerding, and is a treasure to have in my collection.

I just love this movie. The casting was spot on. The acting is what I would expect for a high budget film. The cinematography is superb. I fall in love with this spiderman more and more. Your family will jump for joy at this new spiderman as he embellishes the persona of an actual teenager. This film will have you saying, "I wish I could be Spiderman's friend."

Since the tobey maguire spider-mans, I'll argue this is the first to come close for that level of quality. Marvel studios puts a really fun young teen adventure spin on this version of spider-man which is what so many have been wanting. It works really well, and the support cast for his classmates help make this a memorable film. Michael Keaton was also a big time addition that helped take the film from average to great.

While there definitely feels like there's too many Spider-Man reboots, this one finally feels right! The inclusion of Spider-Man in the MCU was definitely needed and made for a fantastic film all the way through. Plus Michael Keaton really nailed his performance! The steelbook is very attractive too. Highly recommend!
