Saw it when I was kid. Lived up to the nostalgia. I have already watched it twice since getting it.

Spirited Away is easily one of the best, if not THE best movie from Studio Ghibli. Without giving away too much, it's a about a little girl that has a incredible supernatural experience that at the end will help her mature in an unexpected way. It is loosely based on classic Japanese mythology, but presented in an easy-to-understand fashion. The voice talent is excellent -especially in english. The animation is top-notch and the music score is amazing. Highly recommended!

A now classic film from Japan's Hayao Miyazaki, Spirited Away is perhaps his greatest film. The film is a visual treat, portraying a rather classic take on the Japanese spirit world. The plot of the film is quite good too as it portrays a young girl who starts out apathetic and lazy, worried about moving to a new town, but is forced by circumstance to become stronger or else lose herself and those she loves forever.

This Blu Ray was almost sold out and I can see why! This is still my favorite Miyazaki film. The scene where Chihiro (Sen) and Haku go through the garden of flowers is still one of my favorite scenes, just beautiful. I was wishing that they would convert this to Blu Ray because I never bought the regular DVD and I am so happy I held off. The extras are really special. There is a nice section that goes to show the work it takes for the actors to follow the speed of the original Japanese voice actors.

Beautiful film. Glad I bought it, so we could finally watch it and add it to the collection.

This movie is not only family friendly but it's also just a great movie to watch with your spouse on a date night. I highly recommend you get this movie if you don't already own it. I won't spoil it for you but director "Hayao Miyazaki" will take you on a ride that you could have never imagined in "Spirited Away". Your imagination won't be disappointed with this movie nor will your time be wasted.

This movie was bizarre and wonderful. I remember seeing it in theatres and when it was over we came out of a majestic dream that we initially didn't understand but swept us away none the less. It was like seeing Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or Indian Jones for the first time, you'd never see movie making the same way again. Kid friendly with a few intense moments.

Really great to have a Best Buy nearby and they having the stock of this DVD as it was part of a gift to our niece. She is a real fan of everything that Studio Gibli has produced. I’ve watched this movie and I have to say that it is one of the most touching and disturbing movies I’ve watched because it really causes you to go through a whole spectrum of emotions. If you’ve never watched it, take the time to do so.

Simply put, this is one of the greatest animated film ever made. Everything about this film is special. I remember when I saw this in theaters, when I stepped outside I felt like I just went on this long journey, I felt like I learned so much and was another person. That was Jihiro. As awesome as Princess Mononoke is, Spirited Away is Miyazaki's masterpiece. A beautiful film with a heart that will please children and adults.

I'm a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki's work. I purchased this movie for my sister and family to watch. I am pleased with the spectacular colors, sound, and DVD quality. This movie hasn't skipped or gotten stuck mid viewing so the quality certainly lives up to the price. The main menu includes every special feature that the DVD case displays. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and intend to buy more Ghibli movies from Best Buy in the future.

Great release - would be made better by the inclusion of a digital copy, but otherwise, this series of Steelbooks is the most beautiful incarnation yet! Will be purchasing all these Steelbook Ghibli titles.

Watched it when it premiered on Cartoon Networks Toonami. Had weird dreams for the next few years of it and it honestly freaked me out as a kid. A decade later I find it again and rewatch it. Not only do i feel like a kid again but it taught me alot. Brought things i didnt understand as a child full circle. Watch it with your kids if theyre a little scarred like i was. Otherwise its a masterpeice. Rest in Power Hayeo.

My daughter really loves this movie. She watches it over and over.

Spirited Away is my favorite of Miyazaki's many great movies, with a satisfying story and a deeply memorable setting in the Japanese spirit world. This bluray is a great upgrade over the DVD I owned previously, with a very sharp image showing off all the detail work that was put into the art. I also like that GKids has defied the bluray trend by including a nice little booklet in the package.

this is a great movie the music was beautiful and the animation was amazing another Master piece from Studio Ghibli this movie is about a girl named Chihiro she moves to a new neighborhood Chihiro and her parents get trapped in spirit world After her parents are transformed into pigs by the witch Yubaba Chihiro takes a job working in Yubaba's bathhouse to find a way to free herself and her parents and return to the human world.

Bought this for my kids but I find I love watching it as much as they do. The animation is warm and the story provides a moral lesson as well as humor and togetherness my kids love watching it and my youngest a 7 year old loves to put it on repeat. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a classic animation and something the whole family will enjoy. And the music in the movie is awesome as well.
